Bellmore Movies & The Showplace — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

A lovely little local family Theater. You won't get plush reclining seats here but the prices are affordable. A movie ticket is $10 for adults / $8 for seniors & children / $6 before 6pm weekdays. They also have Bargain Thursdays where tickets are $6 all day!! They show one movie at a time so the space is bigger than a mini theater. They also do productions of plays/musicals that are geared for families and children. It's located on the north side of the Babylon train station on Pettit Avenue so parking can be tricky because there's also two popular bars along that strip. But after hours you can park in the train station lot...

High School auditoriums have better seats. They charge extra for credit cards, according to the ticketing dude. When I complained the practice is illegal, he changed his story to "cash discount". The truth was already out, though. He prompted me to say it's ok, but I declined, saying "I object to the practice.". He bluffed "no agreement - no sale", but I pushed my credit card forward insisting, and he relented....

My wife and I have been to the Bellmore movies on several occasions and enjoyed the theater house as well as the movie. Typically, we saw political, patriotic movies such as America 2016 about Pres. Obama and America: Were would the World Be Without Her? These movies are not readily available elsewhere and we thank God for the Bellmore movies and your patriotism.
