Mike brought life back into my sofa in just a few hours. I inherited a sofa from my mother that she purchased from bobs, the sofa only 3 years old was clearly of terrible quality as the cushions coils broke and the couch was extremely uncomfortable. Before I decided if I was going to junk it or not I decided to try east meadow upholstery and boy am I happy I did. My couch cushions are more comfortable then before and look brand new. I can now get more years of use out of my couch and it was inexpensive to do so! Mike was extremely friendly and very fast as he knew I was without a sofa. I dropped my cushions off at 9 am and they were back on my sofa in my home at 5. Highly recommend him !!!! I am not one to write reviews unless it is truly warranted. I feel very strong about an experience with this merchant. I searched for an upholster to reupholster seven chairs and three stools. I was turned down by two merchants. I came across Mike the owner of East Meadow upholsterers and all I can say is what a find. He was honest, forthcoming and beyond knowledgeable. His workmanship was more than I had hoped for. His expertise and attention to detail was unsurmountable. If you need someone with the old-school mentality, the expertise to refurbish your furniture, I will tell you to shop no further. I give him 5+ stars. I don’t do that often, sadly enough. I would not normally leave a review regarding a company that I have not done business with but in the case of East Meadow Upholsterers, I will make an exception. I had emailed pictures of my leather sectional sofa and described the work that I was planning to have done. I received a phone call from Mike within a couple of days of my email and he discussed the process that would be required to correct the problem with the cushions. He not only provided me with a detailed description, he explained that the cost would in all probability outweigh the benefits. As a result, I plan to replace my sofa at a later date.
