Rude and nasty people! Estate sale was advertised in Newsday starting today at 9:30 am. I arrived at 2pm and was greeted by a guy sitting on the step who said, "you here to pick something up?" I said "No, I'm here for the estate sale." He pointed to a dumpster in the driveway and said "whatever was left is in there, that's the second dumpster we've filled already - it's all over." When I expressed surprise that it was over, a woman came out of the house and said "Doors opened at 8am, it was over by noon." I pulled out the Newsday ad to show her the 9:30 am published listing, and she waved it away, saying "I don't care what that says, people know to come at 8am if they want anything." Her tone insinuated that I'm a fool for not knowing this. Another woman who was walking out said to me, "People were lining up here at 6am, they have a mailing list, people come very early." That's great for the sellers, but what about the rest of the consumers who aren't on the mailing list? What is the point of advertising in Newsday if you know you're going to sell out to your mailing list in a couple of hours? I guess if you're not a member of the "invited" list, you're out of luck. I have been to hundreds of estate sales, and have never been treated so rudely by the people...
Read moreI am so happy I came across Tracy and her crew! Selling the house was such an overwhelming process I wasn’t sure where to begin-Tracy came in and explained what they do and basically, they do everything! I had SO many things accumulated over the years, they helped me sell my stuff and even took the keepers to storage. They assisted with repairs, appliance and carpet installation, carpentry, painting, cleaning and made my hardwood floors shine again all within a week! Tracy literally has a person for anything. Shout out to Alex for his carpentry knowledge and Kate, she staged my entire house so beautifully honestly, it’s going to be tough to move. I cannot recommend IES enough, Tracy and her crew are true professionals, providing warmth and comfort during an emotional time , making this difficult process stress and...
Read moreWhen my 92-year-old mom came to live with me, it was time to clean out and sell the house she had lived in for 70 years. My sister and I were overwhelmed to say the least. We asked for estate sale recommendations on the local Facebook page and Tracy Jordan's Invited Estate Sales was mentioned most often. Tracy's calm demeanor and can-do attitude immediately put us at ease. After removing what we wanted to keep, the online auction went smoothly. Then, the tag sale, house clean out, house cleaning, dumpster in/dumpster out happened all in one day. Tracy, Tricia and the whole entire team are courteous, professional, efficient, VERY hard-working, and best of all they have a heart. They saved us from the emotional task of doing this ourselves. Their services are outstanding and I recommend...
