The Farm Italy Restaurant Westbury NY — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

After eagerly waiting all summer for Farm Italy in Westbury to open, I finally had the chance to try it out tonight, one week after its official opening. I have never been to its Huntington "older sister," so I had no means to compare it. However, its lively, but relaxed, atmosphere; attentive front-of-the-house and wait staff, and delicious food, make this a restaurant that I will go to for a meal on an ordinary day or to celebrate a special occasion. Every plate of food ordered was plentiful, with impeccable presentation. We started with the Fritto Misto (requested calamari only). The calamari came to our table piping hot, well-seasoned and perfectly light and crispy. For our entrees, I had the Pan-Roasted Chicken with string-beans. Although the sauce accompanying the chicken was a little too spicy for my taste, the chicken's skin was crispy and the meat was flavorful and juicy. My guest ordered the Veal Milanese. The generous portion of golden, pan-fried thin veal cutlets turned heads in the dining room as it made its way to our table. For dessert, we shared gelato (pistachio and chocolate scoops) and Tiramisu. All were exceptional and made for a wonderful ending to a memorable meal. I came to this restaurant to celebrate with my sister and i am thoroughly impressed. To start, the service was great! All of the servers and bussers were extremely attentive, including wrapping up my leftovers neatly, clearing off the table before each item, and overall being very polite. Our waitress was super sweet and did a great job accommodating my shellfish allergy. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and definitely has an upscale vibe to it with the decor and valet so dress accordingly. Now onto the most important part, the food, it was absolutely amazing! I had the meatball, bread, pan roasted chicken with duck fries and green beans, and a chocolate tarte cake w/ the basil gelato (I had eaten a little bit in the picture lol). Went to Farm Italy, Westbury for their opening night. Like their other places, the food was very good. The service was excellent. They did a magnificent job on the design of the new Westbury location. Just a beautiful restaurant. I messed up making the reservation on Open Table. Thought I had booked 9-20, but when that wasn't available, Open Table pushed me to 9-23. I just didn't notice that. The Hostess could not have been nicer about it and was was able to offer us a table for 4 on the outside (covered) patio. She also offered 'couch seating' next to a fire place inside.
