I can’t even put into words how wonderful my experience with Verdi’s of Westbury was. I had my sweet 16 there a couple of nights ago and everything turned out absolutely stunning. At this age, teenage girls are very bratty and when we don’t get what we want, especially with such a big milestone in our lives, we get mad. But, there was nothing for me to be mad about because everything went absolutely perfect. The food was delicious. We got the Viennese hour, and I can’t even count the number of people that told me it was the best thing they’ve ever seen and the best dessert they’ve ever tasted. The staff was so professional. The event manager, Tina, was a doll. She wasn’t one of those grouchy, rude workers. She was absolutely hysterical and made the party planning process so fun. She made sure to lay out all of the options I had for different things and gave her opinion on what she thought would look best but still went with whatever I said. Even though majority of the time I ended up using her ideas, as she had excellent ones. I’m actually going to miss seeing her. She was an absolute gem and a pleasure to work with. I 10,000% recommend Verdi’s of Westbury for any party or event you’re planning. I know that going forward, any time I throw a party, it will be at Verdi’s and it will be done with the help of Tina. We had our wedding at Verdi's of Westbury on 2.22.22. This venue has been around for years. We have attended many different functions here. This was the first one that was truly personal. We can't say enough about it. There were hiccups here and there, but in the end, we had an amazing ceremony and wonderful reception! From the moment we sat down with Tina, we knew we were in great hands. Tina is so knowledgeable and courteous. She listens to what you have to say and makes suggestions without making you feel unheard. She handles the hiccups like a champ and makes everything okay. I was never worried. In fact, she probably had more anxiety than I did on our actual wedding day. Tina cares and makes you feel like a true priority every time you meet with her. We were lucky enough to have Elizabeth as our Bridal Attendant. A true rock star. She was an absolute sweetheart. So attentive and accommodating. We also had Dave as our Maitre D'. An absolute gem. Dave was super attentive and made sure everything went smoothly. He and Tina needed to work extra hard to get our Reception room ready after our ceremony. Their hard work did not go unnoticed. I’m the other sister writing to express my deep disappointment and outrage at your refusal to refund the deposit for my sister’s quinceañera. We had to cancel this event under devastating circumstances. My father is currently battling stage 4 colon cancer, hospitalized, unable to walk, and recently in the ICU. Our family has been under enormous emotional and financial strain, and the decision to cancel this celebration—a milestone we had long looked forward to was heartbreaking. Your unwillingness to return our deposit in light of such a dire and uncontrollable situation is shameful. We are not asking for a favor; we are asking for compassion and basic human decency. Postponing is not an option for us—we do not know what the coming months hold for my father’s health, and it is cruel to suggest that we simply “reschedule” when our family is fighting to keep him alive. At a time when we should be focused entirely on caring for my father, we instead find ourselves fighting to recover funds that could be going toward his care.
