Canandaigua Theatres — Attraction in Town of Hopewell

My boyfriend and I went here on a Saturday night for 7:15 showing and I was saddened to see there is only a total of eight of us in the theater. We attended a movie in theater 3 which is on the smaller side with only seating on left and right side and approximately about 10 rows of seats with about eight seats to a row. Staff was very nice and friendly and theater was clean. I think I was just saddened to see not so many people out enjoying the experience of being out at a theater. I know we live in times now where we can see movie releases right from our home but sometimes nothing can beat that surround sound dark theater huge screen feeling. This theater actually had more movie options than the regal theater in Victor which I found surprising. The new seating was nice and you're able to lean back slightly but the theatre we were in did not have recliners. All in all I think if I'm going to experience the movie theater I will be more prone to go to this one due to not a crowd to contend with, clean, comfortable and better...

I’ve came to this theater a lot considering the one that I use to go to where I live has closed down (Geneva). Coming to this theater it’s abt $10 a person which is more than my old theater but not bad for the service. The snacks and etc are actually pretty pricy for certain things with the slushiest literally being water with flavor but the popcorn didn’t cost a whole lot and they give you a big portion and are NOT cheap with the amount of butter they put on it and the popcorns really good icl. The seats are alright pretty comfy except sometimes they don’t work, when I went with my mom her seat would NOT recline so hit or miss with seats ig??? Overall tho it was sm better then my old theater the roof was intact 🙏 (Geneva’s old theaters roof was falling apart) I would suggest this as a theater to go for decent...

I guess we have been lucky to be in other theater rooms that were "okay" but Theater Room #9 was by the WORST one. The room is so small and instantly the room smells incredibly MUSTY. Most of the recliners are broken. The half of the ceiling was broken, falling off, and not repaired. Everything is stained and sticky like nothing ever gets cleaned. Then the best part, the row that had a few recliners that did work was right next to a SUMP PUMP. LIKE WHY ARE YOU USING THIS ROOM. IS THIS EVEN UP TO HEALTH CODE. I FELT SO GROSS IN THEATER 9. BEWARE! The bathrooms never fail.......the smell of urine is normal. I refuse to use their bathrooms. They are always disgusting and never ever clean. Done giving them a chance.....I'll forever give my business to...
