Hyde Park Jeweler — Attraction in Town of Hyde Park

I wasn't actually a customer in this shop, but I know that I never will be. I was doing my laundry at the laundry mat next door from this jeweled, where I was sitting in the car with my son while he ate a wake up wrap from Dunkin up the road. He sometimes doesn't eat the wrap so I tossed it out on the ground thinking a bird or some animal would come snatch it up. I come back out from changing my laundry over to the dryers and a woman that works there was scowling at me like no tomorrow. I've never had someone scowl at me that hard in my life. So she comes out side with a broom and dust pan, still scowling, and proceeds to say "you couldn't walk your lazy ass to the dumpster?" I rolled down my window and said "excuse me?" She replies with "you couldn't walk your fat ass to the dumpster?" Again dumbfounded, she's saying this stuff to me In front of my two year old. We proceeded to go back n fourth for a few minutes. Eventually I ended up leaving while I was waiting for my laundry to dry. But I came back home and talked to a friend of mine who has actually shopped there, she's also complained of snobby service. So these women must have cob webs up their cooter and all butt hurt that they aren't getting any. And that's not my problem, you give respect to get respect, plain and simple. And for this to happen over something that's biodegradable is...

I am a new customer. Laurie came highly recommended by a close friend of mine. Laurie was willing to meet with me at a moment’s notice to discuss restringing my pearls for my upcoming wedding. She didn’t make me schedule an appointment. She was very sweet and accommodating. She not only agreed to do the job, but she also quoted me a very reasonable price and is able to have it done within a short timeframe. I am very happy with her customer service. She cleaned my engagement ring while we were discussing the process of restringing my pearls together. I haven’t received the final product back yet (as I’ve just left it with her this afternoon), however, I have faith in her skills and experience. There are too many people dishing out negative reviews these days. I figured I’d give Laurie the credit that she deserves. I’d definitely recommend this jeweler. You receive a much more personable experience than you receive when you go somewhere like Kay’s. The store itself is pristinely clean and she has some gorgeous jewelry there.

Started out great . Laurie helped my wife find the perfect wedding band to celebrate our 25 yrs together. A combination of my wife's Aunt's diamonds and a new setting. Then we decided to ask Laurie to enlarge my wife's wedding band. This went horribly wrong. My wife was stressed out and crying for days about this situation. See pics below. She called down to pick up the altered ring without even reviewing it first. On top of that it took 5 months for the ordeal to end. The ring had to be completely remade. The results were saisfactoy. However, besides the stress and the 5 month wait we were still charged full price for the alteration . on top of that Laurie just had to tell us it cost her $800.00 for the new ring. The ring does not match my original exactly which she also had for several months. No longer a customer here. I played off the whole ordeal with a grain of salt at her store to not show my intense anger. This was handled poorly.
