Such a beautiful fun trail but impossible to enjoy due to the sheer amount of mosquitoes (they were so comfortable and numerous I was bitten over 8 times in just 10 mins and 2 on my forehead). There was also a lot of other nuisance wildlife (notably earthworms which aren't from NY, messing up the soil.) I get that this is a state park and pesticides cannot (and should not) be used but releasing some Baitfish, frogs etc. would probably help deal with the mosquitoes.
