Broadway Dance Theatre — Attraction in Town of Islip

I have been dancing at Broadway Dance Theater for 10 years. BDT has such a positive atmosphere and a great support system. All of the teachers are respectful and so understanding. The staff here is absolutely amazing and is always there for you no matter what. They are there for you whether it has to do with dance or your personal life. Each dance teacher pushes you to your best ability to makes sure you are improving each and every week. I have known the owner, Jessy Gill, for 14 years. She is like a second mother to me and has been there for me from the very start. She loves each and every child as if they were her own and would do anything for them! Jessy goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect and we have a great environment for us all to share our passion for dance. At BDT they don’t only teach you how to dance, but how to work as a team and connect as a family. I have not only made friends here at BDT, I have a second family and memories I will cherish for a life time. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this remarkable family. I love this dance studio and I know you will too! I 100% recommended this studio...

acted at this studio for 5+ years and have not one nice thing to say about this dance company. due to the lack of teaching and good choreography you will not learn a thing here! i would 100% recommend any other dance studio before i told someone about this one.....the teachers are rude and bash children to the other students! the building was always dirty and if u are trying to further your dance career to grow as a better dancer definitely do not go to BDT! this studio truly is an embarrassment....the competition teams are constantly in the easiest divisions but yet some how never win ! i have seen the way the teachers are with the students and it’s actually quite disturbing! the teachers are very cruel and treat the children like animals and it’s not even like the students are getting a good dancing education from it..... trust me when i say this is not the place to be !! i would give this studio 0 stars if i could because there honestly isn’t enough negative things i could day about the studio as a whole! This is my 10th year dancing and acting at Broadway Dance Theatre and I cannot express how much I have enjoyed my time here so far. The teachers here become family, and you can trust that any one of them will be there for you if you need them. My relationship with Jessy Gill, owner of the studio, has blossomed into a mother-daughter relationship, and she means so much more to me than just a teacher. These teachers raised me, and have affected me so much and helped me realize one of my greatest passions. They support you and help you with anything you need, dance related or not. This is a wonderful place to bring your children and I am happy to say that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without this amazing, positive environment. I came here when I was five years old, and went from a little girl who idolized these adults that I saw five days a week, to a student teacher, teaching alongside the same amazing adults in which I still look up to.
