Cruise America RV Rental — Attraction in Town of Islip

This was our first RV rental trip and decided to go with Cruise America 30 foot RV to bring our 2 fur babies with. The Experience with the RV was incredible. We were able to check the RV out and get a feel for where we would be spending a lot if time before the trip. The 30f can sleep 7 and has a bathroom and seprate shower. When speaking to Tony about the rental he was very knowledgeable and kind and put our minds at ease. Tony and paul were a plesure to work with and had made this experience easy and able to teach us everything we needed to know befor our trip (we came into this with no RV knowledge). The RV was a smooth drive There was ABSOLUTELY NO STRESS OR WORRY renting from cruise America in Bayshore before, during and after our trip. I highly recommend this spot and 1000% will be using them again. My advice is to make sure to get the insurance its affordable and they take care of everything. Gold star experience! Staff were friendly, helpful and super accommodating. We rented the 25 foot RV. Very new…2020 and only approximately 35k miles. VERY clean…and that’s by my germaphobe standards. No problems at all with the 1700 mile trip. Everything in great working order. We needed heat on a couple of cold nights and it did not disappoint. Also, hot water came up very fast. Shower was a definite plus as was the new microwave. Bed is very comfortable . I had no problem getting sheets to stay put, but I put a mattress cover down first. Also some nice large throw pillows …really cozy. Plenty of lights and well placed. Is it noisy on bumpy highways? Of course, but there are ways to quiet that…we placed towels in the noisy spots and removed the plate in the microwave while we were driving. Also put carpets down on the floor. That really did the trick. We definitely will be renting from Cruise America in BayShore again. It is really clear these guys maintain their vehicles extremely well. Rented a standard RV with my partner and dad. Not cleaned well before giving to us. Refrigerator door kept swinging open on drive, lots of clanging from stove which is incredibly annoying having to hear on a drive lasting from NY to FL and then FL to NY. Lots of rattling. Also was told by a couple people when booking safe and compatible for car seats for a baby under one years old. That is false. Not compatible for rear facing car seat. I was told by someone that lots of people travel with their babies under one through this company and don’t have problems with their baby being faced the way their car seat system is set up. Car seat shifts if you are on a bumpy road. Definitely not the safest. I would definitely recommend booking a motor home that is attached to a car. Much safer for your little one!
