I brought my opal necklace that I purchased from zales so I can have it be repaired. At my time of purchase, I had bought the whole set, the earrings and ring, & purchased the lifetime warranty. The lady who sold me the necklace told me lifetime warranty will always be there and if anything at all is wrong, they will certainly have it fixed, she didnāt tell me the opal wouldnāt be covered or anything like that if it was damaged. The necklace broke, and it became dirty yellow/ orange. When I brought them the item in to repair and clean, the lady looked at me like this is citrine⦠Iām like no I know what I bought, itās not like Iād take the necklace and switch out the gemstones, I barely even knew what citrine looked like til I looked it up. Anyways they didnāt wanna send it in for repair and told me they would get a new one but told me now I have to buy a new protection plan or it will never be fixed again. And how opal is very porous, it can easily change color etc, but no one told me that when I bought it, I didnāt know over time the necklace would look that dirty and I donāt even get to wear it everyday. So i feel like Iām being sold something with poor quality at a high price and then getting lied to about the warranty just so I can buy it and so they can make extra commission is not fair to me. The name of the store manager is Laura. When I asked to speak to a manager she said I am with a tone, and tbh I didnāt even know she was a manager because she had me stand there for a hour, because she couldnāt pull up information on the computer and had to ask every single associate in there for help, which if you ask me looks very unprofessional because as a manger I would assume you hold the highest knowledge in the store. And standing there for a hour got me upset because I came in there with the intention to be quick and then leave, I had things to do, and it never takes this long. She didnāt even turn around to explain why itās taking so long or say Iām sorry for the long wait.
