My experiences are usually different, for the main fact that I am handicapped and most often in a wheelchair. So here is the part of the review that's from a handicapped point of view- the store is torturous to move about in. I have no idea why they do this, but they have been over stuffing the aisles for a while now. So much so, that this trip is my second in three years. It is bad enough that people are rude, and will push your wheelchair out of the way to get to an item, one that you had already started picking up yourself. Or that they will walk around you to take the last spot on the elevator that you had been waiting for. Or that they don't see you and you get knocked into or worse, over. But with aisle width at twenty inches (I have pics), you are forced to go around or through the clothing racks, putting yourself into a position that leads to one of the above mentioned problems. Try to operate a wheelchair, with one hand, while having one wheel on tile and the other on rug....not easy. Also, when you see the pictures, look at how the base may leave twenty inches, but with hangers sticking out, at eye level no less, you have even less room. Btw when looking at the pictures, the tile is a 10"x10" tile. Now for the non handicapped part- the store is starting to look like one of those bazaars you see thrown together at the arrivals area for cruise ships in the Bahamas. Stuff everywhere, on the wrong racks, on the floor. Things from different departments and even different floors. And not one employee working the floor. Plenty of them walking past on their cell phones. I even witnessed a cashier using the small refrigerator they sell soda and water out of by the counter, as her own personal food refrigerator So far, each time I've gone, it seems to get worse and worse. I'm not sure I want to see what a third trip would be like. It's a real shame, Jcpenney used to be my "go to" store.

THANK GOODNESS THERE IS STILL A STORE That You can walk into and shop! OR You can simply place an order online & then they bring it to your 🚗 ASAP! The first dress suits and heels I ever purchased were at JCPENNEY in 1986!! They still have unique, fun, professional and sexy clothes. You would really be surprised at some of the sale prices and the quality of their clothes. Here it is Almost 40 years later and I still love buying comforters, sheets & throw rugs from them. Last week I picked up 2 pairs of awesomely-priced boots, a sweater and a hot black boyfriend blazer!!! Prices were Amazing!! 😄 Here's a pic of the boots and sweater !! ( P.S. Don't copy me lol )

I am an absolutely appalled at how my family and I were treated today at the photography department. I made an appointment for Christmas pictures for today Halloween at 11 am, the first appointment of the day. I figured it was better and we wouldn’t have to wait because it was Halloween and the first appointment of the day. The lovely lady who helped me schedule the appointment was telling me that she agreed, that it wouldn’t be busy and I wouldn’t have to wait. I have a 4 year old and and 18 month old and obviously with those ages we cannot wait long. She was very nice. But that wasn’t who was working today when we had our appointment unfortunately. I realized upon our arrival that JC Penney opened at 11 and how would we be up in the photo studio for our appointment at 11? Impossible. How can they schedule an appointment at 11 when they open at 11? I had never been here before and needed to ask a sales associate where the photo studio is. We arrived at the photo studio possibly around 11:05/11:07 because of this. When we arrived my mother and I greeted the photographer and it was instantly clear she did not want to be there nor was she friendly. She told my mom step back and stand over there. It was so abrupt and rude it set the tone for the appointment. No smile, no greeting, talking low. My 4 year old starts picking up on this rude unwelcoming attitude and starts to get upset. Now she is on the computer for a long period of time and then finally starts asking me questions about what backdrop we wanted after we had been standing there for a while. Then she goes into the room we will be taking pictures and starts setting up. My son wanted to see the room and the backdrop and I wanted to explain it to him while we waited so I brought him to the doorway and was pointing out where we were taking pictures. She nastily said “can you step outside? I’m still setting up.” This upset my son he picked up on how unwelcoming and unfriendly and rude she was. Why is this not set up upon our arrival? We are patient but this was ridiculous. About 20 minutes of this and my 4 year old and 18 month old are getting upset. Now we have to leave and she is still not ready. How can someone this disrespectful and rude and unfriendly take pictures of children? This is behavior was so rude that we were so taken aback. My mom spoke up and said to her that we need to leave we can’t wait because my son and daughter were upset and we were hoping that everything would be set up upon our arrival. She replies you were late. My mom said how can this appointment be scheduled at 11 when you open at 11? We were on time in the parking lot but it wasn’t open. We couldn’t get in the building and then didn’t know where we were going inside. she replies I have no idea why they make appointments at 11. (Regardless if we were late this should have been set up.) She then replies we can come back later or reschedule. My mom said to her that we live a half an hour away and cannot come back later. I told her we are just going to leave. We left and I will never come back because of this. This is what is representing your store? And taking pictures of children? I tried to call customer service for this location to speak to someone to complain about this but the operator didn’t answer and I couldn’t find the number online. I never write reviews but I am still so disgusted, as is my mom....

I will not even put one star I had the worst experience I ever had in a department-store the people are like people that are in mental institutions nobody knows what's going on they are rude they pretend they lie it's really really sad they have one line for buy online and pickup in-store and returns there should be two lines there was a permanent sign there that said pick up and another sign that said returns but because either they're short-staffed and they make everybody suffer and people that are trying to make their life easier especially me because I'm disabled had to wait until everybody argued and fought over receipts and stuff nobody should fight over 45-minutes with disabilities standing there then the manager says they never did it that way mean while this to permanent signs there if I wasn't disabled I would have ripped the one signed down so then it would actually be permanent because they don't do anything right in the store and they have no manners they are rude and if they not rude that staring into space like they don't know what's going on this store need some serious help I'm very disappointed I thought JCPenney's was a household name I gave this place one star cuz he wouldn't let me not give it a star that's not even right either . Then on top of everything else I get my boots and they are in boxes that look like they got dragged for 10 miles on top of knives they were so many holes in the packaging that there was dirt all over my boots how is that even possible did it end up in a ditch and somebody scooped it out I don't know everything from the moment go was bad even when I called the Department and ask them which entrance they will located at the guy at the counter he was on the phone at the time didn't even give me the right entrance he doesn't even know where he is I don't know what kind of background checks you give that you need to get that a people working there again very very...
