We recently celebrated my son’s 4th birthday at The Treehouse Playplace in Larchmont, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place was designed with kids—and parents—in mind.
The facility is spacious, clean, and packed with imaginative play options. There’s an adorable interactive area complete with a diner, salon, supermarket, and even a movie theater that had my son’s name on the marquee—such a special touch! There’s also an indoor playground and a great outdoor play area, which gave the kids plenty of room to run, climb, and explore.
One standout feature was the charming little truck offering coffee, drinks, and snacks—a thoughtful perk that parents definitely appreciated.
The party room was perfect for young kids, with pint-sized tables and chairs, fun coloring activities, great décor, and a dance party that matched the vibe of our chosen package. We went with the basic package, but it was so well done that I can only imagine how incredible the “boujee” or “over-the-top” packages must be!
What truly made the day seamless was the incredible staff. From the planning process with Victoria to the day-of coordination with Chastity and two others, I felt like I had my own personal event planner. They checked in throughout the party, made sure everything ran smoothly, and even helped with layout suggestions for the cake and party favors.
They handled the pizza and beverages too, which took a huge load off my plate.
My only tip for future guests: make sure to give clear parking instructions, as that was the only slightly tricky part.
Highly recommend The Treehouse Playplace for anyone planning a kid’s birthday. It was a joyful, stress-free celebration and a day we’ll always remember! All the parents raved that their kids had so much fun and that they loved it as it was different then the typical birthday parties they have experienced.
They also have open play and themed special events which are also amazing.
Thank you Rob & Fam for creating this...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about the unbelievable 3rd birthday party that The Treehouse threw for our daughter! They handled every single detail with care and precision - from the decorations, to the food, to the music, and wrangling the kids. They even put together the goodie bags! As two busy, exhausted working parents, knowing that we didn’t have to lift a finger really took a weight off our shoulders. We showed up and there was a party ready and waiting for us. On the way out, their team handled all of the cleanup, packed up any remaining desserts, and had our little girl’s presents ready by the door to load into the car. From beginning to end, it was the easiest and most pleasant experience, not to mention worth every penny. We have thrown our daughter’s last two birthday parties at our house and between grocery shopping, food prep, entertaining, cleaning up both before and after - and all the other headaches that come with hosting - we are so happy to have a place like The Treehouse right down the road so we don’t have to deal with any of that again. Adding that our daughter also goes to preschool at The Treehouse and there really is no other place like it. The mini village and indoor playground are a child’s dream, filled with all kinds of activities and opportunities to use their little imaginations. I would have loved a school like this when I was a kid! Highly recommend both the school, as well as throwing your child’s birthday party at The Treehouse! Special shoutout to the whole team that ran the party for us, and especially to Kayla who played the emcee. She was amazing! Thank you,...
Read moreI took my 3-year-old daughter here to do something special together this weekend. She has some sensory sensitivities that we’re still learning to navigate, and she’s especially sensitive to music. For the first hour, she was doing okay, but then she started getting very overstimulated.
After talking to a few parents who said they didn't mind; I politely asked if they could turn the music off for the last 30 minutes to help her calm down. The woman working there seemed surprised and said, “For the whole time???” but eventually agreed to pause the music for a few minutes or to change the music. I told her it was fine, and that we could leave and come more prepared next time with earmuffs. Not an issue.
As we were leaving — after I had already said we’d go because my daughter was struggling — they turned the music RIGHT back on before I even had a chance to get her shoes on. My daughter immediately became overwhelmed, threw herself on the floor, and was hysterical.
The lack of empathy in that moment was really disappointing. I completely understand that it’s a play space and music is part of the atmosphere, but a little patience and understanding would have gone such a long way. I feel that the staff could have waited for us to leave before putting the music back on.
That being said, the space itself is absolutely beautiful. Every detail was carefully thought out, and it’s the kind of place I would have LOVED as a kid. It’s clear that a lot of effort went into creating a fun and engaging environment. I just hope they can be more mindful and accommodating of children with sensory sensitivities...
