Tony Mancino Custom Tailoring — Local services in Town of Mamaroneck

I visited Mancino's today at the recommendation of their long time customer. I had a St. John Knit jacket that I wanted altered. I had never been in the store and was excited to meet them based on the referral. I guess it was Tony who was in the balcony and leaned over asking me what did I want. I told him I had a jacket I wanted tailored. He simply told me no. He had no time to do it. He did not even come downstairs and greet me or look at the jacket. I then mentioned who referred me and he said, "I don't have time and even if I did, I do my own label first and I am at least a month out and so I am not going to take your jacket."

I was offended by his tone, inattentiveness and lack of effort to engage with me. He did not even come downstairs to talk with me or show any interest in perhaps other business I might do with him. As a business owner I was appalled. Based on this exchange, I will not return and do not recommend anyone new who he doesn't already know, go there either as he clearly does not need or want new business and appears biased against anyone walking in.
