We had an iPad screen that was damaged replaced here. After the repair, the screen functioned fine for several months but all sudden the touch on the screen stopped working which makes the iPad useless. I worked through all of the normal fixes recommended by Apple including a full reset with no luck. Being tech savvy I know that this indicates that the problem is with the replacement screen itself or the way the screen communicates with the iPad’s other hardware.
I brought the iPad back ti the shop to see if they would stand behind their repair and was told the issue was an a unrelated hardware problem and that their repairs are only covered for a month anyway.
The hardware problem is obviously originating from the replacement screen. So, for $150, we ended up with a functioning iPad for a few months. That’s clearly not worth it, you are better off to just by a new iPad or one refurbished with OEM parts by apple certified technicians.
I realize the shop will likely respond to this with
“We repair each device in the right way, with the utmost care, hand over the device to the customer after making sure that it is working properly. If there is any problem with the device later, You can come to our store and we will try to solve it. We are very sincere about customer and device care.”
But that is not really true after the month warrantee is up. An iPad screen should last the remaining life of the iPad. Of course if the shop would like to install a second new screen (free of charge) that would solve this issue and I would amend this review. If it works I’ll be satisfied, if it doesn’t I’ll accept that it is an actually an unrelated hardware problem. That would be true...
Read moreI took my iPhone SE 2020 to have the screen replaced as there was a few cracks in the top right. I was charged $108 for the repair. I noticed the screen quality was not the best and there was light leaking around the entire phone screen. I decided to let that go and just leave it as is.
three days later I was watching a video and the screen went completely black. I immediately returned my phone to them that morning and explained that something went wrong with their install. He told me to return in an hour, and when I did he tried to charge me for a repair and said that I bent the screen? I said I have had this phone for two years and never bent the screen on my phone. It's pretty obvious that something either went wrong with the install or the newly installed screen was defective. I said fine, I will give you the $25 but give me the broken screen as well, to which he refused. I said you're probably going to return it back to the manufacturer as a defective screen, which it more than likely was. He tried to lie and say he was the manufacturer of the phone screens, so I pointed out the install kit and said are you Quantum? The manufacturer? To which he then said he was a partner of theirs. I said so now you are lying. Overall, this was a pretty maddening experience. I will not be going back to this place and I suggest you go elsewhere for your mobile phone needs.
it was more than obvious that the screen malfunctioning 2 to 3 days after it being replaced was their fault, and for them to lie and argue with me inside the store was ridiculous....
Read moreDO NOT GET YOUR PHONE FIXED HERE, IF THEY MESS IT UP THEY CALL 911! THE TEA: Guy totally screwed up my phone. I knew there was going to be issues because I wen to go pick it up and he could not power it on. He had my phone for almost 3 hours, I work in the area so I dropped it off. I went and ordered food to give him a few minutes. Came back and phone was on. Less than 24 hours after the fix I started noticing things like my screen freezing a bit but not too much. Well that progressed and became a problem so I stopped back in to talk to manager. Guy who fixed my phone says he is the manager. When I first went there initially I asked for the manager and he said he is not here so why now is he all of a sudden the manager. I also met the manager before so I know who he is. I start telling him call the manager you are not the manager, whats he do? picked up the phone and called 911 saying he felt threatened! Even the cops who showed up laughed like he can't be serious. Guy even tried to play a recording he recorded without my consent might I add as audio recordings must be announced in that type of setting but anyway, don't get your...
