This trail is a gem but if you are out for a relaxing, leisurely ride BEWARE of serious cyclists! Two cyclists passed me from behind on one of the narrower bridges and I hit the fence. I was wearing my helmet, but I have a broken neck, 12 weeks in a neck brace and probable neck surgery soon. At 65 years old, recovery is a little slow. A beautiful day and a beautiful ride turned into my living Hell because I wasn't going fast enough for them. I hope they'll post "No passing from behind" signs on the narrower bridges. Just about 25 miles, so far, if you ride the whole thing. Scenery is terrific with rolling farmland and the Taconic range. Go in the fall for...
