Golden Wok — Restaurant in Town of North East

What’s going on with Golden Wok? They had amazing Chinese, Thai and Japanese food 10 years ago. It seems in the last few months they stopped online ordering, don’t answer their phone, and the quality of food has dropped dramatically. Most items are out of stock and if you get them they aren’t even close to what they used to be. You’re making me sad, Golden Wok. I ordered once a week for years… it really has been a gradual decline in service and quality.

Really sucks when there isn’t that much around here to begin with. Guess I’ll go to Amenia for their average Chinese food because at least they have decent service, and honestly, their food is better than Golden Wok’s these days.

Edit a year later: I am upgrading my review because the service and food has rebounded. Average grub, good service, we are lucky...

This is a regular restaurant for me being local. Haven't had Chinese in a while, and place a take out. When I called the background noises where overwhelming loud. With effort got my order in. The protocol was always the last 4 digits of your phone number. This time I was given a number, already I feel change. Picked up my order, the take out area was pure chaos, very loud, very unorganized. I finally got my order and drove home to the next town over. Open my order and realized I was given NO RICE. Yes I said no rice at all. So there it goes downhill from here. I say order take out with caution. Oh I ordered shrimp and lobster sauce, the one meal you can't eat without rice. I did try and eat just the shrimp,but that turned out too salty on top of it all. CHANGE...

Let me start by saying that we placed an online order on Christmas Day (not a large order - 3 menu items with no alterations), and ended up waiting close to 2 hours, more than an hour after the promised time.

It's clear that this place needs SERIOUS help with time management, organization, and leadership. There was a line out the door and just about everyone there had waited at least an hour. It was an absolute circus.

That being said, the food is outstanding. I'm really hoping this was a singular event and that they're usually not so disorganized, because although I swore when we drove away that we wouldn't be back, the food is SO good that we're highly...
