Greek Xpress — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

My friends and I have been to this Greek restaurant a few times. The food is usually decent, but the same waiter always acts like he’s doing us a favor just by being there. We tolerated it because the food was good enough to keep us coming back.

But our most recent visit was the last straw. We were the first customers of the day, and the feta was sour. I asked my friend who owns a Greek diner to confirm, and she agreed: it was definitely off.

I politely told the waiter, who took it away, only to come back a minute later saying, “The cook said it was good,” as if we didn’t know what we were tasting. It felt dismissive like gaslighting. He wasn’t apologetic at all. The meats also tasted like it was reheated from last night.

We’ve given this place multiple chances, but this experience sealed it. I’m just glad it wasn’t takeout and action was...

I have been a consistent customer since Q4 of 2021. The Santorini salad and the Greek salad are my favorite. The grilled chicken, pork souvlaki, sweet potato and the grilled octopus suit my taste. The latter is still soft even if I eat it the next day. Tried all the smoothies and the praffe and I love the wild berries the most. Service is fast and accurate-either dine in or take out. Staff are super friendly and courteous. We ate in many restaurants here in Great Neck or Midtown/Lower Manhattan and compared them with their pricing apple to apple and we find the price reasonable at Greek Xpress. I come here often. One of the bright spots in Great Neck. Food is fresh an amazing the atmosphere is very upbeat the color scheme is nice and bright. Menus are easy to read and they will accommodate you for whatever you desire. You will order that tzatziki sauce by itself it's that good. It's a must go to whenever I'm alone or with my children. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the parking which cannot be controlled however it is a real hassle to get parking around here. And do not park across the street and the shopping center parking you will be towed away instantaneously the minute you walk away from...
