The food is great. Here is the problem, I sat inside and ordered the mezi trio. I asked for coffee and the waitress told me next door they make great coffee, it is not offered at the restaurant. I placed my order, went next door and got my coffee. I sat down back at the restaurant and then the food came out. I am eating and reading, next, all of a sudden a man bursts in. Command and directs me to leave the restaurant with the food because it is a kosher restaurant and I have coffee inside. I understand and left and sat outside. They brought all the food back out in plastic containers and plastic flatware. I get it. The problem is I expected an apology for such a disturbance especially with the high prices they charge. Maybe offer me some free bread. Nothing. They are very rude and I would not patronize again and would not recommend this place. The girls at the register was nothing but nice it was the owner gentleman who was extremely rude with no manners. Believe me God would not care if I left the place in 3 seconds or 3 minutes. They still have to go through the same procedure because they are kosher. A little bit more tact on their part would have prevented this review. Just add I am writing this a woman comes out and told me she needs to take my plate because they can't have me eat on those plates because they are kosher. Again no tact. I honestly hate this place because they have no manners and...
Read moreToday, I was walking my dog on a leash passing by Noir, and this medium-sized dog came running towards my dog and almost attacking her. Everything happened so quickly: my dog whimpered and screamed. She had even peed all over herself since she was scared to death and traumatized. If she was attacked, she would have been in serious conditions. At that moment, I was so angered and shocked that I went over to these people to tell them that they needed to put their dog on a leash or keep an eye out. Their response had provoked my anger even more. They said that âit was their propertyâ(Noir Bakery), so it was fine if they didnât. I understand that itâs their property and they want to let their dog roam around freely, but they could have just said âis your dog okayâ or âIâm so sorry about thatâ right away. If they simply apologized as soon as this happened, I would have left but they didnât. It took them awhile until one of them said sorry. I canât express how upset I am. Iâm not blaming it on the dog, but I just canât understand their attitude and response. If this is the workerâs mindset at Noir, I would not recommend this...
Read moreToday before heading into the office, I decided to stop by Nior Cafe and Bakery to try something new. When I walked in, I noticed an assortment of baked goods displayed on the right-hand side. I ended up ordering a pistachio croissant, a mushroom pastry, and a small latte.
Unfortunately, the experience started off on the wrong foot. Their POS system wasnât working properlyâmy card kept getting error messages, and after about 5â10 minutes of trying, the staff eventually asked me to use Apple Pay, which finally went through. Not the smoothest start to the morning.
The total came out to $11 for two small pastries and a 5 oz latte. For that price, I expected higher quality. The croissant was hard and lacked the flaky texture you'd expectâit felt more like dense pistachio bread, and the filling barely tasted like pistachio at all. The mushroom pastry wasnât memorable either, and nothing tasted particularly fresh.
Overall, the quality just didnât live up to the price or the presentation. Would I go back? No. Would I recommend it to friends or family? Also no. There are much better spots around for both coffee...
