I had such a disappointing and awful experience here… In summary… Unprofessional (kept me waiting for over 35 minutes and took calls on speakerphone throughout my appointment amongst other things); Profoundly overpriced AND did not provide all services described for that price; Upselling throughout with a bait-n-switch twist to boot :-(
In detail… I was greeted by the office person demanding payment (after they’d already insisted on taking a credit card over the phone for security hold, which I found a bit off-putting)— I reminded her that beyond the pedicure service meant to be provided (a medical pedicure and an injured nail examined and then nails painted post-injury-treatment) that I was there because of my injured nail and we didn’t yet know what repair was required and she had already told me over the phone that the price would vary dependent on required treatment. She agreed it did not make sense to charge me before there was an actual bill. They kept me waiting in the room with shoes and socks off for over 35 minutes past my appointment time while the practitioner/owner took a phone call. I found out later with the IRS… I found this out because the practitioner took two more calls from them, her phone on speaker between my feet throughout my appointment. I thought I had a serious nail injury (why I chose to go here for a “medical pedicure” for the first time) and anxiously sat as she inspected and buffed the injured nail whilst distracted on the phone. She determined my injury was far less serious than I feared and buffed a few more nails, clipped and cleaned some cuticles and used an emery board on my calluses. Applied some essential oils. And that’s it. I was rushed along and felt ill-cared for. She acknowledged she was very behind (but assured me she didn’t care about keeping the person after me waiting because she was “nasty” so yeah… again with the unprofessional). When she realized I’d been told I would have my nails painted as part of the appointment, she gave me the choice of actually completing the medical services of the appointment or having my nails done. Having to choose amongst services already explicitly acknowledged as included before the session began because she was taking phone calls throughout my appointment time is pretty unacceptable (and keep in mind, my injured nail did not require any remediation beyond the basic pedicure so who knows how she would have fit anything in if that was needed). As I was checking out, the office manager asked me how I was and I acknowledged that I was pretty upset and dissatisfied by the lack of promised services rendered. She apologized and offered to make a separate appointment to have my nails painted as originally promised (by her, on the phone). Then she pointed out that I would have to buy their special nail polish to have this service done, which, with some trepidation I purchased. About 30 minutes after I departed, the office called me back — obviously embarrassed and apologetic that the owner/practitioner was disputing the necessity to offer me another appointment since I’d been offered the ‘option’ to get my nails painted sooner (by skimping on my already rushed and rather unimpressive pedicure treatment). So, $169 later I have some product I didn’t want, some unpainted and barely treated feet, and a lot of regret for going here at all.
I get that people have bad days and this woman was clearly having one, and I felt for her and tried to be understanding. But I gave them an opportunity to make this at least sort of right and they only made it worse. I cannot recommend Stephanie, her nail service, or her...
Read moreI’d never heard of a medical pedicure until very recently, and I began searching for one. I wanted something better than the generic” strip mall” nail salon and honestly was apprehensive since I’ve had bad experiences with actual podiatrists; a Google search ( and if you believe in Divine intervention) led me to Stefie: I called on Tuesday and was fortunate enough to get an appointment on Thursday of the same week- after that she was booked for weeks , and after my visit I quickly found out why: From the time I entered her “ nail niche” I felt welcomed- she has set her location up to feel as welcoming as possible- snacks, cold beverages, hot tea or coffee, comfortable seating , music, in the waiting area. She was finishing with a client when I arrived - which was fine, - she didn’t rush her client out or rush me in- the way it should be( and the wait was not long at all- honestly I’ve waited twice as long for not even half the quality I received from Stefie). I was made feel at home as soon as I went into her inner office- she does all the work herself- and her “ work” includes making everyone feel comfortable and welcomed, getting to know the individual, and putting them at ease- many, like me have had very bad and painful experiences with both nail salons and podiatrists and are very apprehensive. Stefie’s service included a thorough foot exam and explanation or issues she found and what she proposed to do and recommended I do at home as well. I have never before had a more thorough pedicure ( or foot exam by a podiatrist) and have NEVER had a pedicure where I experienced no pain- my feet and I left happy and satisfied. A medical pedicure is a thorough foot assessment and nail filing , buffing and trim. Nail health and home care are also explained- Stefie is basically a Physician Assistant for feet. I left the office not only a happy customer with happy feet, but a more educated customer ( and foot owner!) Of course you can also get your toenails painted but Stefie’s emphasis is on long term foot health; if you’re just looking to get your toenails cut, to soak your feet and have dubious foot tools, lotions , oils and practices used on your feet those nail salons are a dime a dozen ( and from personal experiences that’s about what they’re worth) ; BUT if you’re interested in year long and life long, pain and infection free foot health ,( especially if you have ANY foot issues ) THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! I can’t recommend Stefie highly enough or express how good my feet feel , how respected and welcomed I felt, or how glad and grateful I am to have found her. Five stars is an...
Read moreFrom start to finish, I had an amazing time at Stefie’s Nail Niche. The suite is luxe, stylish, sterile, very cozy and homey. My husband and I were greeted warmly by the owner. As we waited for our appointment we were offered unlimited snacks and beverages ☺️ There are also added amenities such as a tv and kitchenette available to use at your disposal. We immediately felt at home. Stefie shared so much invaluable information with us to stay on a road to healthier nails. She took her time with us and really examined our nails to get to the root cause of our chief complaints. She was a great listener, easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. I am confident that your feet and nails will thank you if you keep Stefie on retainer. She possesses excellent interpersonal skills which I believe is extremely important for someone offering personal care services. I look forward to my continued healthy nail journey with Stephanie and I can’t thank her enough for making us not only look good on the outside but feel good on the inside too. Thank you...
