Maharaja Super Market — Attraction in Town of North Hempstead

We do our groceries in Bellerose regularly. This place has been good overall. Don't buy milk from here, it goes bad in less than a week even in refrigerator and they won't refund your money. Their onions and some other produce is also damaged sometimes so beware. I am writing the review because of a negative incidence I had. I was charged accidentally 10 times MORE for an item that I bought and I went back to return. The cashiers were new girls as previously never had this happen. There was a rude guy who stepped in to do refund on my card but again charged my card instead of refunding. When I tried explaining, the guy became nuts and started telling how experienced he is and blah bla. He won't cancel the transaction and give cash back. In the end he understood his mistake (but never admitted) after talking with another cashier and calling his manager. Finally he somehow did credit card refund. I hope the money shows up. Go to this place if you want to get rude treatment from these uneducated maharaja employees. The middle aged women who used to work here were much better at their job than these new girls who do mistakes and the rude uneducated wannabe managers that they have now....

Giving this place a one star . I went to this location on Thursday evening about 9.pm The female cashier was on the phone constantly talking to someone?? I did not realize she was not paying attention to what she was supposed to be doing ( THAT IS HER JOB) AND SHE JUST WALKED OF IN THE MIDDLE OF CASHING MY GROCERY &VEGETABLES I CAME HOME AND A COUPLE OF ITEMS WERE MISSING .I CALLED AND SPOKE TO Kazi AND HE CONFIRMED THAT THE BAG WITH MY MISSING ITEMS was there . My son went to pick up the bag and another rude obnoxious lady was there and she told my son that it is not there. I called and some RUDE NASTY LADY ANSWERED AND SHE SAID THAT MY SON IS LYING AND THAT SHE WAS NOT AWARE THAT A BAG THERE. NOT ONLY DID MY SON HAVE THE RECEIPT HE IS A COLLEGE PROFESSOR .WHY WOULD HE LIE FOR SOMETHING LIKE THAT??? IT IS NOT THE $$$ BUT THE LACK OF INTEGRITY THAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE THAT HAS ME FUMING.WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. THESE PEOPLE ARE SO DISHONEST AND LACKS PEOPLE SKILL. (AS A FEMALE WHENEVER I USED TO GO THERE TO SHOP THEY HAVE MEN OUT THERE THAT ARE FOLLOWING YOU AROUND AND KEEPS PRESSURING TO TAKE MY BAGS TO MY CARE. I DON'T LIKE THEIR...

Very Disappointed with their behavior. I have been going to this store for about 2.5 years with perfect satisfaction. Last Friday I had this awful experience the reason why I am writing this review. Me and my wife did some shopping from the nearby store and entered this store with our shopping bags and goods. While doing the check out, the cashier lady weirdly asked me about my shopping bag from the other store. It sounded like they were suspecting me for some shop lifting. It made me very disappointed to the fact that they probably know us from before and not only that, if we were doing something wrong the cctv and the door checker is there. Why she had to ask for my shopping bag in that disrespectful way! Very disappointed. I decided not to visit this...
