I recently visited Hot breads in hillside avenue, and bought $40 worth of puff pastries, specifically the chicken tikka and chicken curry flavored ones. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. After eating half of a chicken tikka puff, I noticed a rancid taste and smell. Upon closer inspection, I discovered fungus on the pastry. Shockingly, all of the puffs I purchased had the same issue.
When I returned to the store to address the problem, I was told that refunds were not possible due to store policy, and I was only offered store credit. This was completely unacceptable. Selling food that has gone bad should never be acceptable, regardless of policy. After a frustrating 10-15 minutes of arguing, I finally received a cash refund.
To all future customers, Please do check your food before you buy from this place. I live almost 25 minutes away and wasted 1 hour of time to commute back and forth for a $40 refund.
This experience was highly disappointing and will be my last time visiting this establishment. I hope they take better care in ensuring their food is safe for consumption...

Even the piping on the cake was so amateurish the colors were bleeding on to each other-the shop itself was as hot as an oven inside-donât waste your time and...
