SEPHORA — Attraction in Town of North Hempstead

I went there today and this is one of my fsvorite locations to go because the staff are usually super nice and friendly today was different. The 2 staff in the front letting people know the protocols of the store because of covid were super nice and friendly and let everyone know how and when we would go in. When It was my turn to go in and I’m looking around for the products that I need and I see that people are touching some of the stuff on the sales floor, and I asked for assistance and the lady that was going to assist me said if I could wait a couple of minutes while she finished a transaction and that was perfectly fine of course. I then was browsing and I touched one item that I was interested in (and I guess now that I think about it, it was wrong but it’s just a force of happen when yo go to sephora to smell stuff and it was an accident it can happen to anyone to be honest and I did see a lot of other people touching other items like make up and stuff, but that’s beside the point) and one of the sales floor person came charging at me and was basically screamed at me in front of all the other customers there that I am not aloud to touch anything and was very rude in the way she was saying everhing to me, the other customers just looked at me and started to just walk out out the store. I honestly did not like the way she approached me and I wil find out her name because I felt so disappoint on how she reacted and if it wasn’t for her coworker I wouldn’t have bought anything cause she saw how upset that Made me. Her coworker just looked at her and just started to talk to me and try to make he feel better. I really think they should teach that girl how to treat customers even if they are wrong there are different ways to approach a situation and she definitely handled it very wrong. Everytime I shop at this location with my boyfriend the staff acts like we are trying to steal… if I shop alone they are fine …I guess he doesn’t fit the demographic in that area .. it’s highly upsetting and very annoying having multiple people watching you when trying to shop. We were looking at perfumes and one staff member came up to us and asked if we needed a basket we declined because we didn’t have anything in our hands but a reusable tote folded (which we are required to use nowadays) and she just stood there looking at us and said “well it’s going to be right here if you need it “ with a snooty attitude. I just brushed it off and continue to look around as you do in a makeup store ..Another associate was just hawking us as we are walking around I pick up a lip balm and she’s staring at my hand as I walk around …I ended up going to the register and buying the two products I picked up and left …not to mention the cashier was also rude when I asked about a new perfume they had behind the cashwrap.. as if it was a bother to smell the tester (why is it sitting behind there to begin with?) It’s very uncomfortable having to deal with that when you are simply there to shop. I’m sure they were talking on the headsets about us and that’s just ridiculous I shop at Sephora A LOT and shouldn’t be treated this way ..it’s disgusting and unacceptable.. this location needs to train there staff better.. you can’t assume people are trying to steal just for looking a certain way… if you aren’t white don’t bother coming here you will get treated horribly.. do yourself a favor and go to a...

i went in there to buy one item for my boyfriend, i had the picture of what i wanted and ask this older woman with short blonde curly hair. she said she was looking the back for me. she proceeded to help four other people including MY MOTHER before me. then she went in the back and disappeared for another 10 minutes. i want to say that kim helped me and found what i was looking for in under 7 minutes. and jillian at the register was so helpful and so patient. loved them too. kim is focus and attentive but also can multitask and help out her customers. that other lady(didn’t get her name) but she was an older hispanic woman with very short curly hair that was very dry curls. she looked at me multiple times and was literally 3 feet from me and never helped me out even when i asked. mind you i came for 1 item. a men’s cologne sampler for my boyfriend. kim helped so much i was going to buy more items but people like that other lady who are completely useless and rude don’t make me want to come back. thank god there are other store in the shopping center because it’ll force customers traffic because if it was just a solo store….those customer connection scores would be...
