Stehli Beach — Attraction in Town of Oyster Bay

Stehli Beach is an absolute gem! The sand is amazingly clean, and the pretty stones and shells washed up along the shore create a breathtaking sight. I visited late at night, and despite the hour, I was surprised to see so many people fishing—it added a lively yet peaceful vibe to the experience. The cool breeze and gentle waves made it the perfect spot for a late-night walk, especially for couples looking for a romantic escape. One of the best features is the convenient place to wash off, so you don’t have to worry about getting sand on your feet. Simply loved this place. Lots of good people fishing there. Only issue is, the private part of the beach started without any sign posted. So, anglers sometimes get disturbed which they are not supposed to if the signs are there. Sometimes the rotten pile of snails smells so bad. They should clean them more frequently then now. Good place for stripe bass, porgy, and sea Robin. Hard to get other fishes. Horseshoe crab, jelly fish and string rays come very close to the shore. So watch out before you get...

This beach is fantastic. It’s not too crowded, public bathrooms are provided, fishing is allowed, and the tide is calm so perfect for kids. But keep in mind that this is a private beach, so you’ll have to either come here with someone who’s a resident in the area or at 4pm because that’s when everyone’s allowed in.
