Video Game Trading Post — Attraction in Town of Oyster Bay

I really like these stores but the worker here long hair like a female with glasses i asked a normal question cus i was curious i dont know how trade stores work he gave the most rudest horrible attitude ever raising voice saying in a rude way i cant tell you that until i see the product but said it in a rude yelling to me way like wow i was shocked and to be honest i just walk away and said in a kind tone okay thank you left to avoid a arguement about to start. But wow for a question to be yelled disrespectfully for like i get it if you cant tell without looking at product i get it but he could have said in a respectful manner ive been shopping their for years i go there for a long time ik some of the guys there im a regular at the bayshore area the white dude forgot his name looks kinda built muscle shortish he always been kind and respectful so i respect that dude in bayshore and smith town ive seen him. But this dude today u went around 5 august 7 2025 was mad rude for. Question like yikes if you hate the job and cant talk good to people dont work there but u hope ownder sees this cause his actions were not necessary. I normally give this story 5 stars but this dude ruined my day. This happened at broadway mall store here...

First and last time here. It was local. Just went in with games in exchange for store credit. Nice guy at the counter. Asked if they use pricecharting. He said yes. Handed him 40 Wii, PS2, Xbox games and a pokemon switch game. He flipped through them, sorted out the 17 sealed PS2 & Xbox games, then inspected all the open games. He just looked up the Switch game on the computer. Offered me $50 for everything. I said no thank you. He then asked me if I had a number to make a deal. I said $5 each for the sealed games, $2.50 each for the open games. Told me they are all just "fillers". I said he is only offering me $1 each for the games and $10 for the switch game. We couldn't make a deal. He still offered me $15 for the pokemon game, I said $20 and still could not make a deal. He even told me GameStop was offering $2 for that switch game. (Which they were offering $3, but thats gamestop not a normal business). The reason for 2 stars is not just the offer but the fact only one game was looked up on pricecharting. If he looked on PC, he would've seen 8 of those sealed "filler"games sell multiple times a week for over $30 each. I understand rent has to be high for that place so I'll...

I went to the Hicksville location today to see if they can re-surface 2 game cd’s. The youngster with the long hair, mustache and goatee did not want to do it, only “polishing” one disc saying he didn’t want to ruin either games, lol. Very knowledgeable staff, seeing as that would take many times before that’ll actually happen, that i know. Waste of my time, so i had to trek over to the levittown location, where another chap gave me excellent service with a smile. All good now. I’ve been a long time customer of owner Mike and a few of the old school crew since the early Massapequa days. Sorry, but won’t be headed back to the Hicksville location ever again. Shame, since it really is one of the better retro game...
