Monty's Discount Wine & Liquor — Attraction in Town of Queensbury

This place needs to have better trained employees, we decided to head over to the store to purchase a few bottles of wine. However the store employee (Nina) was extremely rude and requesting ID for all 6 members of my family several times. She even made a comment that she “makes the law in store” after checking an “over 21” ID three times. I can’t help to feel that we were being racially profiled as the other customers were not subjected to this demand. We live in NY and are aware of the laws when purchasing alcohol. I've been going to Monty's for awhile now and have always left with a deal, the owner is always a pleasure to see with a warm greeting but what really made my night was the young lady who helped me, Sarah (brunette with glasses). I decided to treat myself with some scotch and wanted to know quality versus price and what followed was a thorough teaching and understanding of so many whisky/scotch/bourbon that I left feeling like I was educated. A dedicated and knowledgeable staff makes me appreciate this place even more and I can't thank Sarah enough for her insight and kindness. Will be a long time customer...

On the plus side.... Great selection of wine & spirits ! Great prices ! Great store hours !

On the down side... Bought a certain wine that wasn't good. Not as in didn't "taste" good but more as in there was a defect with the wine. Having been in the industry for over 23 years now and having someone answer me "well what do you expect from a wine at that price?" is both insulting to me and to the winemaker. This after the same person told me how good this wine was 2 days ago.... I wonder how my customers/reps of the product would react if I answered them in the same manner as this person did to me and...
