Being able to learn watercolor painting at Betsy Jacaruso’s Studio and Gallery has been such an enriching experience. Betsy’s studio provides a wonderful environment for studying watercolor. Learning from Betsy and the other artists in the room has been both educational and inspiring. Each session begins with Betsy’s clear and thoughtful demonstration of the week’s painting. She breaks the process down step by step, simplifying techniques and making the task of creating a new watercolor feel approachable and achievable.

After her demo, we each begin our own interpretation of the painting. When everyone finishes, we come together for a group critique. Each class features detailed demonstrations with explanations and one-on-one assistance. I have taken the botanical workshop, the beginner sessions, and now attend studio classes. I have learned so much in a short time. The classes are small and there is ample time for learning and creating; and Betsy is nimble at teaching artists at all levels.
