I'm from the area and have shopped here numerous times over the decades. I was looking for a comfortable sneaker/shoe to purchase for my upcoming trip which I'll be doing a lot of walking on. I did research and people also suggested I get Hoka sneakers. After looking for them at a few stores and then not finding them I called Pegasus to see if they carry that brand. They do and I went right there to find a great selection of Hoka sneakers. Wyett, the salesperson, immediate came up to ask if I needed help, which of course I did. First thing he did was actually measure my feet like they did years ago! After trying on numerous Hoka's Wyett took the time to suggest other brands also. I must have tried on a dozen pair. After being in the store for a long time (like an hour or so) it was between a pair of Hoka shoes or a pair of On Cloud shoes. The two other ladies working there also chimed in and were so helpful. Wyett was so professional. He didn't mind running up and down the stairs to get the shoes at all. He was very kind and very helpful in guiding me to get the perfect shoe for me. This is why we SHOP LOCAL folks. Stores like this. The personal attention is what you don't find in big corporate stores. Wyett is a huge asset to Pegasus and I couldn't have found a person with patience, understanding and such professionalism as him. I ended up buying the On Cloud. I'm told that I can try them on in my home for 60 days. If they're not comfortable I can return them in the original box w/original receipt. They also price matched and I saved $20 on my purchase. I was recently in Rhinebeck for the NY Sheep and Wool Festival and stopped in to Pegasus Footwear with a friend who always bought a new pair of boots there so I wasn’t intending on buying anything. Then Annie came by and asked if I needed help or saw anything on the wall I liked. I didn’t see much but she offered to pick out a few for me to try on - no pressure. If I didn’t like them, she said she wouldn’t be offended if I didn’t want to buy them. The fact is, she brought me several pairs I didn’t notice that were quite handsome. Some fit perfectly and others didn’t - but that was no problem. Ultimately I ended up buying two new pairs of shoes that fit my feet so well I forget I have shoes on and they’re also sharp but can be for casual or more dressed up looks. And the entire time, I was enjoying myself - all thanks to Annie. She had a great personality and I came out of the store with two new pairs of shoes I was quite happy about and didn’t feel like I had just been sold to or taken advantage of. I’d buy new shoes much more often if there was Annie in every shoe store. Thank you so much! I’m truly happy with the product and level of care and service I received while there. Also, another employee - a gal of a certain age wearing a stunning navy dress came out to help someone with shoes on and was rapping to the song playing overhead which I found both amusing and awesome. Katie, Emily and……codyyyyyyyyy 😏 were AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG. Katie and Emily had so much knowledge about plantar fasciitis, I mean I’m 1000% positive I’m going to be healed and transcend dimensions and live eternally because of them with no feet problems ever again. They gave me more help than podiatrists and doctors! I love these women, they are soooo helpful and are really present with you to answer any questions. I low key tell myself their my best friends now and don’t get me started with Cody. CODY?? Good god, I mean WOW, wow he’s just..watch outtt ladies, he might steal your heart while slipping on that glass shoe you’ve been waiting for your whole life.
