AMC Port Chester 14 — Attraction in Town of Rye

This is the AMC I dislike the most!!!!! It’s a great and huge location but the staff just sucks!!!!!! I really wish they provided better customer service but just NO… the popcorn is always cold in this one location, I don’t get why… the team members are super slow, they also don’t honor the A-List and Premier statuses, there’s the line for A-List and Premier but they always leave us for last, so it’s just better to join the regular line. The restrooms in this location are so dirty, it’s just a horrible location in general.

I’ve come to this theater a few times because it’s the most convenient to me but every time we visit, there’s always something that makes us not wanting to go back, then we decide giving it a chance because of the convenience and end up not wanting to go back again… Last time we visited was last Friday and the experience was sooo bad… multiple people shared the same seats, our seats were sold twice and like 4 other parties had the same issue. A family of five also had our seats. We purchased our seats through the Amc app, they had purchased theirs through fandango and for some reason we purchased the same tickets for the same movie. When we tried to talk to the “ticketer” he sent us to someone else, that person didn’t do much to solve the issue, I talked to the lady and since they were five and we were only three I told her we could move to another seats with no issue. We found three seats at another line and a drunk guy sat next to us, unfortunately we couldn’t watch the movie like we were supposed to.

The guy was drinking alcohol in the theater and the smell of it was so strong it bothered us, then the guy kept moving my seat up and down with his hands, and he kept talking through the entire movie. It was so disappointing, when we tried to go talk to someone the ticket guy acted like nothing happened and had me go back to my seats because we were already moved.

Let me start our by saying wow the size of this place blew me away. It surprised me coming here for first time how big it is and how nice the staff are.

They also have these chicken sliders which were pretty awesome. The staff were all very, very friendly.

The only reason why this place gets two stars are for things that are out of control of staff.

The parking situation is pretty confusing. You have to park in a garage which for people who maybe handicapped, or cannot walk far is considerable distance. Then you have to park on the 2nd level of that garage with signage that still says Loews with no AMC.

Then its combined with city/transport parking with no other accompanying signage besides the two signs on lower level and one on roadway leading to second level.

No clear signs of if their is a separation between city parking and movie parking other than a bunch of subject to tow and city stipulations.

When dealing with the public the rule is simple, keep it simple. The garage is not.

The theaters need an upgrade to the reclining chairs. It's not that the chairs are uncomfortable it's that they are not comfortable either. They just are there.

Maybe in the 3D or other portions of theater they do have them and my auditorium didn't.

But then what's the point? AMC is doing it on the whole it seems so why not make the jump?

The place is a hidden gem but If its get the parking situation if not closer to theater, maybe a drop off only bay for handicapped people to make do on interim basis.

Even if there is a connection from garage directly into theatre,

A. Surely didn't see it and B it surely should have been easy to spot if it was present.

Make these improvements and place goes from diamond in the rough to people driving from other non local areas just to come here. Yes this may cause issues but certainly may increase revenue to justify the...

I believe is TIME TO STOP POURING 50 CANS OF SALT ON THE POP CORN!!!!!! BECAUSE IT IS COMING OUT EXTREMELY SALTY!!!!! LIKE REALLY SALTY, LIKE I MEAN IT!!! REALLY SALTY!!!!!!TODAY, 08/07/2017, MY FAMILY AND I WENT TO THE AMC THEATER AND OF COURSE BEFORE GOING INTO THE THEATER ROOM WE BUY POP CORN WHICH I TASTE IT A FEW MINUTES LATER ONLY TO FIND IT INEDIBLE AND DISGUSTING!! THE SALTY POP CORN MAKE US CRINGE AND NAUSEOUS!!!!!! WHY NOT REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF SALT ON THE POP CORN!!!!SALT KILLS PEOPLE, YOU KNOW THAT???

ANOTHER THING, THE STAFF IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!!! THEY COME AT YOU LIKE THEY KNOW YOU OR WERE YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!! WONDER IF THE AMC STAFF RECIEVED THE PROPER JOB TRAINING AT THIS LOCATION!!

ANYWAY, WHEN I CAME TO YOU AND TOLD YOU THAT THE POP CORN WAS EXTREMELY SALTY ..YOU SHOULD HAVE SUGGESTED ME TO GET A NEW POP CORN OR SOMETHING ELSE BUT NEVER IMPLY THAT I PUT SALT ON THE POP CORN,DO I LOOK LIKE I WAS A KID????DARN IT!
