The theater is a trip to the past from the moment you stand at the ticket window. The old guy in the ticket booth can sometimes be a tiny bit cranky, but, the crew has always been very nice and big smiles. In all the times I've been there, I have never seen more that four to five people waiting in line to purchase tickets. And that was for Capt. Marvel! It is cash only. Popcorn is good. Bring a small pillow 'cause seats are butt breakers. Image and sound quality is just okay. Street parking. But, I have never had to park more than half a block away. All in all, It is a small town theater with a cranky old man at the window, good crew, good popcorn and butt breaking seats. LOL

Obsessed with this movie theater!! Was staying in a town nearby for the weekend and decided to see a movie and it was such a great experience! Historic theater, friendly staff, good concessions, great theater and seems like a good way to support the local art community! They even donate any leftover popcorn to a local farm! I decided to become a member even though I live in NYC. Hope to visit again soon!

My husband and I haven't been to the movies in literally years - too expensive to be honest, and we never felt like we were getting a true movie experience.

Until we decided to finally go see a movie @ the Orpheum just down the street from where we live in Saugerties.

Mia, Hannah, and Jamie were SO friendly when we walked in & ordered concessions. They are truly essential to the experience we had last night & we walked into our theater more excited than we were before. The popcorn and snacks were as affordable as the tickets and the popcorn was fresh and tasty.

The aesthetics of this theater are on point, and sound was perfect for the horror movie we watched. A lovely experience from start to finish - we are hoping to become members.

Thank you Upstate Films for making us fall back in love with date night @ the movies. Another reason to love where we live, and we are now looking to...

Very terrible customer service! It was my first time coming to this theater and I didn't know where to go. Instead of being welcomed, a rude usher glared at me and pointed "Go there!" I ask "Where? I'm new here. Please tell me where I need to go for my movie." His only reply was a groan, followed by "Theater 2 pick a side!" After the movie I saw a sign advertising" Movie Posters $10". I went up to the window clerk to ask about purchasing an Avengers 2 poster and he tells me, "We aren't selling them." When I ask about putting my name down on the waiting list to reserve a copy for later his reply was "You have to come back when we're done showing the film." Seeing as how I made the trip from Albany, I can't make another trip just for a poster. I don't see myself ever returning nor will I recommend it to any of my...

Was a porn theater in the 70's/80's. Now converted, not a bad theater if you hold your nose or don't mind the smell of sweat & mold. Droves of teenagers on the weekend. Asked the freaky box office guy/girl (not exactly sure) for tickets for my wife & daughter to whatever movie the teens were not going too to avoid the rowdiness, and he/she gave me lecture on how the kids keep the theater alive. Next time just please do your job. If I ask for tickets to a movie with a mature crowd just give them to me. I don't care how the theater stay's in business, and I don't need to be lectured. Just do your job please and I will change my review. Thank you for you cooperation. I hate to rip on a local landmark, but the experience was so bad we still...
