Giving 3 stars because of the logistics behind the delivery of our order. We are returning customers to Bob’s Furniture in Nesconset. 7 years ago, we bought our original couch and now it is time for a replacement. My wife and I bought a premium leather sectional this time around.
Beth was our sales associate and was fantastic! She really knew her furniture details and sold us a great couch that both my wife and I really love. We chose to pay in full upfront rather than finance over time, which came out to just under $2,800 with delivery, warranty, and taxes all included.
Logistics of delivery. Here is where the issues were that made Bob’s appear unorganized and unprofessional in my opinion. When we first purchased, we were told we would have a delivery date of February 27th which was great because I was scheduled off that day from work. Less than 24 hours after placing our order, I get a text saying our order can not be delivered because all the pieces will not be ready yet. Then, a few hours later I am told they can deliver on Saturday, March 1st. This was a problem for me because I work Friday and Saturday nights until 4am the following day. So Saturday morning I got home from work and stayed awake until the delivery arrived. 4 times our delivery window changed to different times. Then I finally got a call from the driver that they were on their way and would be there within 5 minutes. Logistics team should stop relying on technology and have an actual person do their inventory checks to prevent shipping delays. More communication between the logistics team and the sales team at stores needs to be provided. I truly believe that Bob’s should refund my delivery fee since they did not hold up their promise to hkave a stress free delivery. It was very stressful, because by the time the delivery did come I was only able to get 3 hours of sleep after delivery before I had to start getting ready to go back to work again for a 6pm start.
Finally, our delivery team was very professional and almost made up for the failures in the logistics. The driver and helpers were great and built our couch to our liking and cleaned up everything when they were done. They were very professional and I was very happy with their work.
In the end, I would continue to use Bob’s Discount Furniture again, but logistics definitely needs make improvements. I do hope they choose to do right by me and refund the delivery fee to make up for the partial bad...
Read moreI purchased Aries set 2/15/16 complete with tables in your Nesconset location. I have noticed that on the sofa the cushion is peeling and on the loveseat also. I also purchased goof proof. I contacted customer care to report it sent pictures and waited. They came back and said the loveseat was covered under warranty but would not cover the sofa. I contacted Guardian to see if i could cover it under the accident and they said no because the dog scratched the cushion. I contacted the store to see if I could at least replace the one piece but you no longer sell it. I then contacted customer care back to see if they would prorate the other pieces since I cannot have mismatched furniture. I was denied again. So Bobs expects me to have mismatched furniture in my home when it is clearly peeling on the 2 sides of the furniture where we sit the most. I am appalled at this statement and have already contacted the BBB for misrepresenation of your goof proof plan and poor product. This set is not even 2 years old and is already breaking down. I was a customer who had purchased multiple furniture from Bobs and now am an angry customer who plans to tell and report to everyone I know NOT to buy from you. Shame on Bobs!! Don't shop here they lie about the goof proof plan and it is worthless.

FINAL RESULT: After reaching out to Bobs corporate through social media I was given pro rates credit for the additional pieces and able to replace the set for a small amount. Better resolution and the store was very helpful it was Bobs customer service that was not. And the lack of information...

I purchased a chest and nightstand from this office. the experience in store was great, however, the install of the furniture was a complete disaster. my staircase was considered to be too narrow. We know this from previous furniture deliveries, but no other company has refused to get it upstairs. 3 separate moving teams all declined to even try to get it to my second floor stating it's either "too heavy/too dangerous/not within their job description." today i was sent a team of 3 guys all capable of lifting and carrying the chest and they again refused to even try. They literally came into my home thinking that i asked for 3 guys to install 5 handles.... I can install 5 handles and I'm not in construction or in the moving industry. Customer service team was able to give me a small discount from my total, but not enough for me to purchase anything else from this location. From 3 teams showing up to my home not even knowing what i was asking for after giving instructions in great detail to their customer service team, to them looking at it and just shaking their head instead of even trying to remove the drawers and see if it was doable... I am going to have to do it myself now or call a moving company.. So much for "white glove treatment." 1 star for customer service team, 0 starts for office and delivery teams. If you have a unique house or narrow stairways, don't purchase your furniture with Bob's. It will sit in your house for a month and you will still be left responsible for figuring it out...
