I Love This Place! Take The Tour! A Must See! I make it a point to visit the Sodus Bay Lighthouse & Museum every year I go up to Upstate NY! The lighthouse/museum staff are very friendly and informative. You learn about various historical facts and events like the life of the lighthouse keeper then and now, the town, the war of 1812 and so on. You'll see ships navigation tools, tools to run a lighthouse, the "footprint" of the original lighthouse, etc. The best part is climbing up the spiral staircase to see the actual light and look out to see Lake Ontario, Sodus Bay, the Active Lighthouse and...

Grab your climbing shoes and let’s go! This historic lighthouse is open to the public as a museum. The person who welcomed us was so sweet, he even gave us pamphlets on other places we were going to see on our journey and some we were interested to see. The museum is very small, so don’t worry about having to walk far. The lighthouse isn’t very fall either, but be careful of the steps! Each little room has an amazing story to tell, and when you climb the lighthouse you...

Great place to visit when you're bored and want to learn about the history of Sodus bay, it's culture and it's extensive and memorable past. Very nice facilities that are well maintained and store articles of historic goodies from a life lived long ago. Costs money to visit but well worth it and includes a small but nifty gift shop. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. You won't be disappointed and you'll most likely be amused and awed at the same...

Our most favorite place! Stumbled across this gem of a town 4 yrs ago on a rainy Mother’s Day and instantly knew this was where we’d get married! We did just that on September 30th, 2023, the best day of our lives 🥹 The grounds are so well kept and the view is just amazing, same with the outer lighthouse down at sodus beach ❤️ Highly recommend visiting this beautiful little town and lighthouses!!! Was also there for the Eclipse and the Northern Lights ❤️
