Went into the Brockport location today, around 11:30 am, and I had a horrible experience. I couldn't wait to get out of that atmosphere! It was not a welcoming one to say the least. You have the feeling that you are going have negativity and get raked over the coals before you even speak to someone.
There were 4 employees working. Three men, 1 woman. I went in there to help my parents ( 87yr old) get their services updated and price lowered. (Last update 8 years, and paying $280, for package they don't even have any longer ). The guy taking care of us, a short haired guy, was very pushy, and confrontational to a point. He asked if we wanted Spectrum Mobile and I said NO. He wanted to know why. I explained we like our company. The guy then proceeded to tell me that IF we went with their Mobile plan, we could get around $100 off. I kept saying NO. We were offered the Top 15, but not offered bundling, new pricing, packages, anything. It was still pricy. They had no interest of helping a current, long standing, customer, only increasing services.
When speaking of the internet, I had brought up them thinking of Frontier Fiber. The guy proceeded to tell me, rather arrogantly, that " they are just going to offer you a low price, get you in, and then in a year, raise it! Any company does ". He raised his voice, and was so out of line. I was so uncomfortable and felt on the defense the entire time in there. Other customers were trying to speak up for themselves too. It was one very combatant place.
Then another male employee, was taking care of a older man who came in asking for assistance with his streaming box, and the male employee was so unprofessional, and didn't offer assistance to that customer. He kept talking over the customer. After a bit, The older man quietly left. The employee, who had an attitude to begin with, by other interactions I witnessed, turned around, after the man had left, and yelled " have a great day, stay safe" SO sarcastically. Turned around, rolled his eyes, and pretended to do some type of yoga/deep breathing , and said "let it go", and playing it off that the customer was rude. That was SO unprofessional, and unnecessary. I called him out on it. Explaining that the man was looking for help, not attitude. He argued with me, turned around, yelled, I don't have to listen to this", and stormed off!! I witnessed such behaviors by him in the half hour we were there, as well as the aggressive tactics by the guy taking care of us, I don't ever want to go back in!
That store has gone down hill. The only positive was the woman employee. She was so nice, calm, and helpful, to her customers. Thee sales tactics are ridiculous. They are not aimed at truly helping customers, especially the elderly. The pushing Mobile services in order to get lower Cable/ internet pricing, but no real change in pricing if not going mobile; shady and horrible customer service. The attitudes, confrontational sales tactics are just awful!
People who have been customers for as long as my parents have, shouldn't be bribed to get a price more manageable, price to have the services, REGARDLESS if they are not on a promotional plan, as told to us.
Spectrum, you have severely declined in customer service, and trying to show as a reputable, reliable,...
Read moreMy spectrum phone just up and shut off and won't turn back on without the back being off. It's less than a year old. So I kept the back off. I walked into this location and there were 2 large women sitting on the lounge chairs. Told them my situation and showed them my phone and immediately heard "oh God what did you do to your phone?!" I couldn't even explain myself before they interrupted me and pointed over to the phones and told me to pick which one I'd like. They never even got their behinds off the waiting lounge seats. They told me my phone isn't eligible for a trade in. I asked why. They said because your phones broken. I dais this phone is yours and it's faulty. It's not even a year old. She interrupted me again and said "I don't make the rules around here". My wife directed me to leave before it got rowdy in there. Just rude and unprofessional. Honestly, I had straight talk before Spectrum and they were so much better, mobile service, customer service, and all. I'll probably go back. To hell with these clowns always raising my rates...
Read moreJulie has helped me a couple times to resolve my WiFi issues. She has an excellent attitude with all of her customers. She is quick, efficient and knowledgeable. Great experience! Went back to the store to try to resolve more WiFi issues. Constantly dropping, having to reconnect over and over and over during the day when using my phone. In the evening we watch TV. Constant signal drop. Had the lines serviced prior. Hasn't helped. When I swapped out my WiFi Thursday, I mentioned the issue to the gentleman. I was informed by him that if I wanted a decent router that didn't drop signal then buy one of my own because the routers provided by Spectrum are garbage. He said just about every employee in the store had done so themselves. I agree, they are garbage, do something about it. We pay way too much money to keep having poor service. Lost the signal even with the brand new WiFi and in the same room with it on the phone and TV. There are no other Internet providers in my area and I am unfortunately stuck with your services. Btw, I still love...
