We've made several trips to Buffalo Battleground and it's been an absolute blast every time. Our family favorite is the laser tag - it's the perfect activity for us since our boys aren't quite ready for airsoft. The excitement and energy of the games, like 'Everyman for Himself' and 'Zombie,' bring out the best in us, turning us into a cohesive team. The laser tag arena is brilliantly designed, featuring an intriguing old van in the center, a second-floor balcony accessible via a ramp, and an immersive atmosphere enhanced by fog machines and captivating black lighting. It's an exhilarating way to spend a rainy day or a chilly winter afternoon, always leaving us with wide smiles and a healthy sweat. Buffalo Battleground has become a go-to for family fun and memorable experiences. Buffalo Battleground, located at 1888 Niagara Falls Blvd in Tonawanda, NY, is Western New York's premier indoor airsoft arena. The facility offers a variety of activities, making it an ideal spot for family entertainment or group events. The key attractions include: Airsoft: They boast an expansive indoor airsoft arena, covering over 22,000 square feet with plenty of obstacles for realistic gameplay. Arcade: The facility features an arcade with over 40 digital and redemption games. Axe Throwing: It provides a fun and safe environment for axe throwing, suitable for both kids and adults. Mini-Bowling: The bowling lanes are equipped with neon lights, mini balls, and black lights, adding to the excitement. Laser Tag: The tactical laser tag at Buffalo Battleground offers an action-packed experience, likened to playing a real-life version of Call of Duty. Escape Room: They offer a unique 5-minute escape room challenge. Buffalo Battleground also hosts various events such as birthday parties, adult events, and group events. Additionally, they have a full food and drink menu, but outside food and drinks are not allowed. The facility requires reservations for airsoft, laser tag, and axe throwing, while mini-bowling and the arcade are available for walk-ins. They are committed to following all state guidelines for COVID-19 related protocols.

Thank you Buffalo Battle Grounds for helping my daughter’s sweet 16 be extra awesome. We had a limo filled with 18 kids stop at battle grounds and they ALL said it was the best stop they made all night. Staff was so incredibly amazing at accommodating us when we booked even though they were fully booked with a tournament. They figured out a way for them to still come in agreeing to stay later to make it happen! We will back for sure! Thanks again!

This field has gotten increasingly worse, and increasingly more expensive. The whole experience is a money grab now. The new owner does not seem to care about safety nor enjoyment even though that's what he claims is his priority. I remember I went to the field 2 years ago and the price was 5 to 10 dollars cheaper. But when I recently went there you can see that they taped over the old price to play and put a more expensive one. This field is now the worst experience and that's due to a money grab with the new arcade as well as the lack of real management or care/compassion for the sport.

Let me run through my experience. Years ago I was a frequent player. But recently I went to try this field out again. My friend and I entered and stood at the register for 45 minutes being ignored by the bald gentleman in a blue button down shirt. He clearly saw us but obviously didn't want our money. My friend and I actually contemplated taking the wrist bands and leaving the money on the counter due to lack of service. It was so pathetic, and we arrived 20 minutes early to the evening session so we would be able to set up and take our time.

After checking in we entered the back which at this point was full of players. I really don't mind young players but they should have an age limit here. There were young players firing rifles in the back, without the required eye protection. These players that day were very rowdy and obnoxious. It took away from our night for sure. Not only that but it was so over crowded because they don't have a limit on how many tickets to sell, you get no room to set up and no play time because of the massive influx of players. What also angered me was suddenly they require all Guns to use .25 gram bbs unless a sniper. Which is rediculous, and also doesn't make sense. They change rules every other day.

Play time on the field was pathetic. Rules were not explained, teams unevenly divided and the regulars at the field talked back to the refs as if they owned the place. They shortened the play time as the old field used to be 3 games at 5 minutes a piece. This time it was 2 games. Players did not call their hits and overshot. The lack of control on hpa weapons disgusts me. Players chrono their guns with one tank, then use another to get more fps and cause harm. But yet they claim safety is so important. I complained to the refs so many times on which specific players did not call hits, which I offered to prove with my GoPro footage I have taken and since uploaded on YouTube to show our awful experience from beginning to end. In the video you can see players hit and not call out and see me tell the refs to which they shrug it off. While playing I was shot atleast 20 times by 2 players standing side by side withing the minimum engagement distance (another false safety rule). I ended up flipping on these players, but did not cuss to which I was called a f** p. I told the ref and he talked to the players but took no action, as apparently them taking action is frowned upon by management because it discourages players returning and looses money for the owner (his exact words, also in the video on YouTube)

There were so many bad experiences that evening and I attempted to get in touch with the owner to address these issues but was never answered. I'm going to end the review here but if you have any questions about the experience you may email me. I discourage any player who cares to play airsoft properly from spending the money here. It is overrun by disrespectful untrained young children and over competitive speedsofters who intentionally cause harm. Even though guns we're chronod I witnessed players changing internals on guns after being chronod( also in the YouTube video) to intentionally cause harm, and I reported them to the refs and was told they couldn't do anything. ( Also in the video). Also feel free to watch the video and see for yourself. Thanks...

Nov 15, 2014 Noon - A couple friends and I came to the battleground as a club at a discounted price from the university which was awesome. Added to that we didn't have to deal with the overly bitchy and angsty 12 years olds that are usually there. We checked in and my friends and I were given "prefilled" airsoft gun with enough for a full game. We found our trainer who provides instructions regarding how to operate and use the gun. He went ahead and checked everyone including mine to see that it was set to shoot single fire. Mine was fine. We started the first round and I fired my gun and saw nothing leaving the gun. I went next to my friend and demonstrated to which she tried hers and we saw the pellets fire out. I ran over to the trainer and demonstrated the issue to which he verified nothing fired. He opened the pellet holder and saw nothing in there and said I don't have any pellets and mind you I was in the round for maybe a minute. He said to go to the refill counter and let the guy know that I was given an empty gun. My friend went with me and I approached a shaved 20 something year old guy with bad teeth (I only say this now because of how he treated me). I told him that I was given an unloaded gun and that I need the pellets. He said if I want more pellets I have to pay $5 more. I reassured him that the gun was never filled in the first place and that we didn't even play a minute of the first round and my gun was completely empty. He said I probably had it on rapid fire and I used it up. I told him the trainer checked it and told me to come here to fill it up to which kept saying I had to pay $5. I told him I didn't even receive a loaded gun, and my friend verified with me that this was true. I said I can wait for the trainer to come over and verify this. He said that well I loaded them and I know they were filled, you have to pay $5. I got frustrated and told him to forget it because he was not listening, and I'm not trying to cheat him out of money. After the first round, my friend got the trainer who came over and verified with him that the gun was missing pellets and told him it has to be filled. The guy got mad and slammed the pellets on the table. I told him if he thinks I'm cheating him out of the money then forget it. I told him if I was a white skinny girl I'm sure he have no problem giving it all away to which he promptly loaded my gun and gave it to my friend. I told him thanks for ruining my fun because I look like the type to steal and launder. So I apologize battle ground for the review, but that guy in the loading...

For the three times I went there all three experiences were terrible. I had to deal with cheaters on the opposite team, and the refs didn't really help with the problem. The people at Buffalo Battlegrounds choose and enforce the rules they want to enforce, when it should be enforcing all of them to make the experience better for new players who want to enjoy airsoft. Eye protection in the loading room was a problem, too. People who rented needed to get their eye protection, when you are supposed to have eye protection when you go back there. Tons of kids and parents were back in the loading room withought eye protection. The so called "owner" (or that's what he called himself) told my father to get eye protection but never told him were to get it. Because he never got the eye protection, it got him banned from the field because of the staffs and owners lack of help. My dad and the "owner" agrued over eye protection. The "owner" states that day we were there, no one was back there without eye protection. He lied or didn't know because before he was there, people were going back into the room without the gear(and this still continued for the rest of the time I was there, including other days I was there.) The so called "owner" agrued with my dad when he should be listening and trying to figure out the problem, (he could have done this by asking witnesses or even staff members ) but continues to agrue to try to prove that he was right. My dad is not allowed back but I am. I would not recommend this field to ANYBODY wanting to play airsoft or starting off. I will go back once in a while and if it's the same I'll start heading to other fields...

RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESONSE: First, You didn't ask my dad several times you asked him once before you kicked us out. Second, you have no clue if people go into that room without eye protection unless you see it yourself. All the times I went there since the start there were people back there without eye protection, mainly parents and kids that are renting. You sir are lying or have no clue that there are people going back there without eye protection. And third of all, were was YOUR eye protection on that day you kicked us out? If it's extremely important. If I need to literally record a video to prove that I am right then I will. I could go on a whole rant about this but I won't go there. I can relate to so many other people's problems at your facility that it's just ridiculous. You need to work on...
