First, the good. Pizzas were fast and had good flavor despite 2 pizzas and 3 drinks and 3 meatballs costing 45$
Then the bad.
The general appearance of the restaurant is deplorable. It needs one of those visits from a disaster cleanup team when there was a fire or something where it's closed and has a tent placed around it, and everyone wears a hazmat suit and clean it.
The restaurant did not have a single clean table.
There did not appear to be a single person cleaning the dining room the entire time of our visit.
The fountain drink station was littered with trash.
The walls all around the dining room were covered in general filth. There was actually a dried up tomato stuck to the wall behind my table.
The bathrooms were in just about as bad if not worse condition. The floors and walls do not look like they have been mopped or wiped down from the day the restaurant opened. The stainless parts of the door still have the plastic protective film on them, you can tell because it has started to peel off around the corners where the filth is building up.
The floors had garbage and food all over. There is literally a build up of crud in all the corners and all over the walls
The garbage cans have a built-up layer of debris all over them.
The restaurant floors look like an auto shop. The grease and dirt made the bare concrete black.
The cooler drinks are just coolder than room temperature.
The employees were all friendly and nice. They looked presentable, all wearing a logo shirt. The cashier, however, looked like he just crawled out of bed. He wasn't wearing a distinguishable uniform or shirt with the restaurants logo or picture on it. He was wearing white sweat pants and a hoodie with his hood up, with an NBA coat on over it. If he wasn't standing at the register and talking to his co- workers, I would have thought he was there with his parents. When he spoke to me, I thought he was waiting for his pizza also.
In the biggest busiest plaza in Amherst. A pizza place with as much staff as they had in this place it shouldn't be in the state that it was in.

Read moreRude, poor customer service and over priced mediocre food. Will never return. My family of 5 were out shopping and unfortunately the restaurant we usually go to has closed but we were hungry and so decided to try Blaze Pizza. Upon walking in, we noticed the assembly-style and knew if would be about as good as food court pizza. We ordered 2 vegetarian pizzas (they are small & flat) 1 cheese bread, one small salad and drinks. It was ok. But the bill was over $50 US [over $80 Canadian] but that's not even the bad part: the shift manager was so rude and awful that I am still in disbelief- my 5 year old son needed to use the bathroom so naturally I take him with me to the woman's br. We were in there for a couple minutes and there was a knock, I said we would be another minute through the door. I kept asking my son if he was almost done and he said not yet. I am very attentive knowing the situation and remind him others need to go. 4 minutes later a loud, continuous knock so I part the door open and the manager yells at me that she has been waiting for 7 minutes and that we need to get out right now. My son was still needed it. My husband confirmed that we were not in there long. Am I a jerk? I asked the other employees about her conduct and they just defend her saying that she can't use the men's bathroom. But my point is just go use another bathroom in a plaza filled with businesses with bathrooms, sure you're on break but your paying customers are using the facilities. Mind you it is a single-person bathroom so worst case, if it was an emergency on her end (doubt it she just was on break) she could have used the single person men's room. It's not like it was terribly busy in the restaurant. Or she could have at least asked nicely knowing I had a child with me. Idk if you like over priced food and rude employees, then this is the...
Read moreFirstly, we come here every time when we visit Amherst, the food is good not so much everything else. I am celiac, a pain in the backside for me, as is for everyone preparing food for me. I like coming here as the GF base is pretty good. What I don't like is being "hurried along" I get it was a Saturday night and there is a line, but why or why do they keep asking "what else" when you can't even see what there is as they are asking whilst a few other people are ahead of you blocking the view of the ingredients? This is not making the line go any faster!!!! In fact my husband was getting madder and madder to the point of making a scene (he never makes a scene). After making the pizza they put it on a really disgustingly dirty prep table which was heavily covered in flour and bits of pizza toppings,my pizza slid off into the pile of flour which went all over the edge of my GF pizza!!!! My husband shouted that GF pizza just flew into the flour and the guy shouted "no it didn't" What??? we just watched you do it! For crying out loud! All the staff looked dishevelled as did the whole seating area and drinks area. The place always looks like it needs a good clean especially the food prep areas. Luckily, I wasn't as sick as I could've been after eating it, as they say especially being a celiac "You pay your money and you take your chance" All I can say is I'm not sure how many of the staff passed their ServSafe Food Handler course? Needless to say we didn't leave a tip and we always leave a tip! This action in itself earned us a "scowl" from the staff member...
