Wingstop — Restaurant in Town of Tonawanda

Decided to try out the new to Buffalo chain of chicken wings and things. Not the best time to try it out but hey… if they suck, better to know now.

Online order, 1 hour wait on a Friday at 8pm. Decent deal of 40 wings, Fries and dips for $58. Placed order and drove over in 45 minutes. Waited another 8-10 for them to bag everything up. Fries, cold because they had been sitting, waiting to get bagged for 5+ minutes. Wings, luke warm. Blue cheese and ranch, cold from the fridge. The taste of the wings, great. The Mexican Street Spice… great. Garlic Parm… great. Mild… so so. Spicy Korean Q… great. Wings though a bit undercooked for Buffalo Stanards. Not crispy at all. Probably with the fact that they are busy to the walls, the oil isn’t coming back up to temp before dropping more wings in. Takes more energy to heat up used oil as it does new oil. Better places for wings, YES. Are they open until Midnight on the weekends, NO. Is this a good lunch spot… yes if they can get you in and out fast. Will it last?? Time will tell. We didn’t keep many Dominos or Papa John’s chain pizza places… can the home of the wing keep a chain maybe fast food wing joint… we will see. Because it’s in the UB area of Tonawanda/Amherst and the amount of out of town’ers who know the brand… just might keep it open. Locals will try and maybe come back if they...

Let’s be real. This place came to Buffalo. They are opening themselves up to scrutiny and high standard for the type of food they serve. And let’s me just save you some time. I’m not being a hater. This place will just never survive here. And every day they do is just based on the hype and gimmick. The wings are worse than the worst pizzeria you can find in Buffalo. They don’t fry them hard enough. They’re rubbery and bouncy and undercooked. The seasoning is salty, and I mean BEYOND salty. And the sauces are just meh. Even the ranch which is their “claim to fame” is pretty much watered down hidden valley. Their chicken tenders are just chicken tenders. Kind of impossible to mess up. Again though, they have nothing on the most mediocre pizzeria you can find in Buffalo. Fries are just god awful. Soggy soft and under portioned. I get it if you want to try this place once just to say you have. But I promise you, you will be disappointed. It’s just not good. And not up to the standard of the place we live. It’s the equivalent of you trying to open a Chinese...

Wings were fried well the seasoning on some of them wasn't the best. And they wernt piping hot when i got them wish they were a bit hotter they didnt sit and had a few before i left. Also got the voodoo fries they were great well cooked and seasoned. Service was good for the walkins they let them know it would be a bit of a wait time. Order online and come in close to the middle of your pickup time. For people waiting that ordered online they were giving out drinks so that was a nice little thing. People taking orders...
