Minutes after I posted review the owner of the store called me and left a thretening message in my voice mail that he will pick up lawsuits because I spread a fake rumor. I therefore should explain what happened last year. I bought a bag of rice in Woori Mart in order to cook for my church members two hours before Friday worship meeting because the pantry was locked then. I asked to the store staff whether I could return it later if there were someone unlocked the pantry to take out rice as usual. I explained him as follows: on that day the person in charge of the pantry was not there and we could not find the key. I have to pick up rice to cook for people in time but I have to return it if I don't use it because I can't take it home as I don't eat sweet rice.
He said okay. When I came back to the church kichen the pantry was open so that I could cook with rice in the pantry and the bag of rice I bought was useless. Next day I stopped by the store to exchange it with something else. The staff could not keep the promise because the owner was angry calling name to me, and to be worse he picked up the rice bag and threw it outside of the store onto the ground next to my car. He yelled at me to take it back. It was humiliating and hurting me terribly.
I found out another review today about a similar experience posted by Um. It reminded me such a nasty experience last year that motivated me to post my review. I even tried to exchange instead of refund for a courtesy but that's what happened to me last year. And now he threatens me because he never saw me in his store. People, what can I say?
After my second post the owner of Woori Mart posted such a nasty reply in which he called me a thief? I like to make clear that this man lies publically and accuse me falsely. Does he know the laws really? Does he know what result he will get after a false accuse? In his message in my voice mail he mentioned about his lawyer and criminal law in US, and insisted that he will call Police to arrest me... I am going to see what happens to him then. I recorded his message and copied his reply for the legal records. They will be evidence of threatening and insulting one with a false accuse. I wish him to go consult with his lawyer to learn what he will get after those actions. A false accuse and threatening are the serious action in this country...he...

After eating her home cooked Korean meals in her newly opened restaurant (connected to the market) I have decided this is the best place in Buffalo to eat Korean food! Not only is her cooking delicious, she puts effort into the presentation and tries out rotating side dishes (๋ฐ์ฐฌ) like acorn jelly, tofu or sesame oiled black beans. Then, her portion size is generous! The first time I enjoyed her ๋น๋น๋ฐฅ (a rice dish with veggies, egg and beef) and this time I tried a spicy cod soup (๋๊ตฌ ๋งค์ดํ). Served with rice and a side of kimchi, all of the flavors meshed harmoniously! A nice cup of red bean ice cream and a hot cup of rice tea to end the meal wrapped up a very pleasant experience.
Great service, calm atmosphere with korean illustrations and ํ๋ณต lining the walls add to the overall ambience of the small korean restaurant. Then, after we were done, conveniently the grocery items are right next to the restaurant so we could pick up some food items we needed before heading home! I wish the best success to ์ดํฅ ์์ค๋ง and her Korean restaurant venture. Definitely my favorite overall Korean dining experience I have had in Buffalo! I will definitely be coming back and encourage others to give her restaurant a try if you are looking for a great home cooked meal! There is something on the menu for everyone, even those unsure about Korean food surely can find something to suit their tastebuds.
I am so excited to finally have a restaurant to eat at that feels like you are having a nice meal cooked by a good friend. All the food is filled with ์ดํฅ ์์ค๋ง's passion and love for her culture and customers! ํ์ด์ ๋น์ด์! ์๊ณ ํ์ด์ ์ดํฅ...
ย ย ย Read moreI shopped at this store a few days ago, and I had the worst experience ever in the 10 years since I have lived in the USA. I went shopping at Woori Mart and came back satisfied. They had the food I was looking for, and was very organized. My family was pretty happy, but when we got home, we noticed that many of the products we got were nearing their expiration date. Anyways, we got rice cakes there and had some for snacks. Afterwards, I felt sick, so I checked the expiration date. It turns out that the frozen rice cakes were over two months past their expiration date. I called the store to get an explanation, and once the owner (I think) listened to me, he didn't give much of an explanation and hung up on me. He did that at least seven times. He also said that I wasn't able to return some of the product under the laws of the USA and angrily told me to never come to his store again. I would never shop in this store ever again. The owner of this store was very rude and not honest with the customers. It was the worst store and one of the worst experiences of my life. Also, this store shouldn't sell the Korean rice wine, Makgeolli for $6. It's too expensive. I advise that if you go shopping in this store, make sure that you can return the product and look at the expiration date before you put it...
