Nice Day Spa — Attraction in Town of Wallkill

I went to this spa on March 29, 2021 and was not pleased in the slightest. The customer service was great from the masseuse, however the receptionist had terrible manners. I would still rate the customer service as great, despite the receptionist. However the massage was barely a massage, it felt like light taps. I mentioned to the masseuse that my problem area was my lower back and she briefly touched it but as much as I communicated it, the job didn’t feel complete. I even booked a 2 hour massage to eliminate any doubt. Although the masseuse was nice, I still had the same soreness I walked in with. While I am aware that one massage would not resolve my issues, it didn’t feel like anything was done. After the massage the receptionist was rushing me out of the room, she peeped her head in a minute after the masseuse finished to say “are you ready?” And when I said no, she stood there until I was. I know that there are other customers as well as COVID restrictions; a minute is not enough time to rush someone into leaving the room. I exited, paid for my service and the receptionist attacked me saying “that I have to pay tip because it was a 2 hour massage”. I explained to her that while I was pleased with the customer service, I did not feel comfortable leaving tip for service that I did not enjoy. I do not mind paying for the service because the 2 hours were given to me, however I received nothing but light taps in that time frame. The receptionist argued with me for 5 minutes that I have to give tip and I told her no. I don’t think that a business should be attacking you to leave tips, especially if the service was not up to your standards. I was going to leave the establishment and never book again because I was not satisfied, but to go as far into bullying a customer into tipping for service they did not enjoy is extremely unprofessional in my opinion and...

They are horrible. I have been there on more than one occasion, attempting to give them a second chance. The first visit i had there went smooth. It was an appointment for three and we were accommodated accordingly. One out if the three of us did not so much enjoy the massage, but we equated that to the individual that provided that one person with the massage (2 out of 3 ain't bad..). So, my girlfriend books us another appointment for the next weekend, two massages for two individuals, same time. We arrive on time and we are told that they are too busy to give us our massages... Meanwhile we had an appointment. When it was emphasized that we had made an appointment for guaranteed service, the staff just kept saying sorry. We had to leave without any massages. So, we say we will give it another shot, double bookings happen from time to time. So I make an appointment, for two individuals at the same time for a one hour massage. They called that afternoon asking me to come in an hour earlier than my scheduled appointment. I told them it was not convenient, and they were insistent that I come in earlier. I told them it was not possible, and I would see them at my scheduled time. We went and the massages were not bad that night. So... we decide its okay to go again. I book an appointment again, two people for 90 minutes each, for a Sunday evening. We get there and the staff says she doesn't have my appointment and she has nobody else to provide services 😒. I told her I made the appointment, she looked on the back of a pamphlet that she had and asked for my phone number to "search for my appointment". . Very clean great service massage therapist pays attention to detail will return 05/11/2019 Have been returning here for massages since my last review 4 months ago which I gave 5 stars however I have removed 3 stars because much needed customer service is required I actually posted this review whiles getting a reflexology oon 05/11/2019 during my massages and previous times there were frequent interruptions during my massage 1 the therapist answers the phone whiles massaging Leaves during massage to attend to other clients coming in Swooped with another massage therapist right in between my massage and never asked if it’s okay Not courteous just sits and massages and doesn’t ask if it’s too hard or soft or preference with massage Too much talking during massages in their own language which I believe is disrespectful There are a few people working there that do a great job however there are some persons that need further training in what they do. Am not a massage therapist but i have massages many times before .I have been there at times and I ask myself why did I even waste my money cause the massage was very mediocre and there are times that I actually felt good after leaving.
