I went to this "card room" for the first time today, Sunday the 12th with a friend. After having some fun playing 3 card poker, I decided to play some blackjack with the other people at the table.
I placed a $50.00 bet. My hand was equivalent to a 12, similar to the other players at the table, and the dealer flipped a 3. I was sitting second at the table and the first person stayed. I clearly signaled stay as well and the dealer flipped me a card. This card happened to cause me to bust. Myself and EVERY other player at the table told the dealer that I had signaled and said to stay. The dealer argued back saying that I had hit. The game paused as the "pit boss" came over and the dealer explained the situation.
The "pit boss" said that she would have to "watch the cameras" and I was relieved as I clearly signaled to stay. After about 4 or 5 minutes the "pit boss" came back over and explained that I signaled to stay but then signaled to hit right after. Myself along with everyone at the table was speechless as this was completely outrageous. The "pit boss" then said that it was in fact a bust. I asked to see the video but was told I could not. Even with 5 other people at the table that I did not know as witnesses, Star's Casino stole my money. I did not make a scene and stood up and left. I would be glad to come in and view the video ANY time. I will wait for Star's Casino to contact me directly regarding this. I can be contacted via email. Again my name is Jeremy Porter and I was there tonight, January 12th, 2014 around 7:45pm to 8:00pm. I would like Star's to contact...
Read moreSo I can’t resist …this place is a bust. I felt very mislead . The pictures shown on the website suggest this is a casino with slot machines and gaming tables but it is not. This is a card room, Don't get me wrong, I enjoy card rooms but not this one.
It was very empty when I was there. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful. Others, like the pit boss and one of the two black jack dealers i met were surly and unpleasant. Apparently this one dealer did not realized customers are much less inclined to tip when you treat them with with indifference .
This card room offers a $50 free play monthly reward that is not at all what the name of the program suggests . As deserted as it was I was never offered a beverage not even a glass of water.
I stopped to think if my review was being influence by the fact that I did not win on this visit. I really do not think so. I have lost plenty of times - it’s what happens more times than not when you gamble. But this is not just me being a sore loser. This is about me being a dissatisfied customer from a n unpleasant visit to this establishment. Win or lose this is the first time i felt i was treated badly at a card room ( remember it is not a casino.) I doubt I’ll be back. Save your money and go to a real casino or head to Vegas or Tahoe. At least you won’t leave ...
Read moreAs a high roller who enjoys serious action at the baccarat tables, my experience at Stars Casino in Tracy, California was incredibly disappointing. If you're coming here hoping for big bets and intense play, don’t waste your time. Their maximum bet on Dragon is only $200 — that’s laughable for anyone who actually plays the game seriously. It’s clear this casino is built strictly for small-time bettors and doesn’t cater to high-stakes players at all.
The energy is dull, the atmosphere is weak, and the experience feels like a letdown from the moment you walk in. Even worse, management is poorly run, disorganized, and not the least bit accommodating to players who are ready to gamble big. There’s absolutely nothing elite or exciting about this place — it felt more like a slot parlor than a real casino.
To all serious players: stay away from this place. If you're looking for real action and a professional, high-stakes environment, I highly recommend checking out Bay 101 in San Jose, Matrix Casino, or Casino 580 in Livermore. All of them offer better limits, better vibes, and most importantly — they know how to treat high rollers.
I won’t be coming back to Stars Casino, and I strongly suggest you don’t either. You've...
