Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Tracy

What should people know????... Well first off this location has a couple of employees that are definitely different characters... I would say bordering on a bit over the top... With that said the food I ordered was good tasting hot, the drinks were cold and I want to say this also. Good for Sonic in figuring out that people do indeed want other diet drinks other than Diet Coke or Pepsi! They offer Sprite Zero and I am grateful for that. I now have a choice of diet drink without caffeine. Second item I ordered was a crispy chicken sandwich and from what the person who ordered it said it was hot and tasty.... Both positives in my book! The location was clean the service was pretty quick although there not very many people there when I was there at 7pm.... We asked for catsup and asked for a specific quantity and they were right on. We also asked for some hot sauce and also received that. The one and only complaint I had was that the server only brought 2 napkins but given the outrageous personality of the server I am quite sure he would have brought it if I had caught it before he returned into the prep-house. We arrived just a few minutes before closing. An older gentleman informed us that they were closing, but we were welcome to come through the drive through. Ok, we decided what we wanted and headed thru, behind 1 other vehicle. We waited, then placed our order to a very cheerful person. As we were waiting what looked like was going to be a while, a young, very dedicated employee brought our order out to us. He was not only cheerful, but downright peppy, saying everything he was trained to. Sonic could not have a more dedicated and serious employee than this young man. At my work we hire teens often and if we could have an associate with a quarter of the loyalty and pep he had, especially since it was the end of the shift, I would be thrilled. When I tipped hiim what cash I had, not near what he deserved, he tried to refuse it. Its good to know there are still youth out there with work ethic and who are able to give customer service as well. I wish I had gotten his name so I could let the company know they have a winner here. He made me laugh on a night that was not going so well. Thank you. Oh our order was correct...

I was a first timer here and I was extremely disappointed because my excitement was off the charts. I don't live anywhere near a Sonic so I've never had the opportunity to try the food prior to this weekend. Our order was completely messed up, all 3 orders came with not at all what we ordered including the sides. The food was cold and the one order that did come with fries was soggy as well as cold. Almost like they were microwaved and then we're let to cool off. The only soft drink we ordered was wrong as well. Ordered a regular Coke and they gave me diet Coke. The other three drinks were a chocolate shake (which came as a vanilla), a Reese's frosty which was completely freezer burned and barely had any Reese's on it. The other frosty we order was a Snickers frosty. That one came out completely freezer burned as well and actually had Oreos instead. The service was spot on in fairness.
