I brought my Macbook Pro in for a screen repair on the 16th of May. I was informed that they would have to ship it out which wasn't the problem. The problems arose when after about 2 weeks with no update my husband had called to check on the status of the computer because we had received no update after being told the estimated repair time would be 5-7 days. We were told there was a delay because of Covid which is understandable but the fact that we had to call the store was odd to me. (An associate had also stated they had called us with this information and had spoke to someone which is not the case, neither of our phones had any missed calls or voicemails). About a week later i had called to get an update and to make sure they had the correct phone number on file which they did. I received an update on the 4th informing me that the parts for my computer were in and that I would be getting a call when it was ready. On a whim my husband called on the 12th to see if my computer had come in was informed that it was ready. So today (June 13th) my husband goes into the location to pick up the computer and he immediately notices several scratches on the top which weren't there. He points them out and ;Zane tells him that they were already there and would not take responsibility for the new scratches and charges him full price. Upon his return to the car with my computer I inspect it and notice all of these scratches so I take it back in. Zane's first response is that they (at this location) did not cause the damage and tries to shift blame onto the workers at the facility where they shipped it. I inform him that he is still responsible for the damage and that I would not be paying full price and would like to speak to the manager. After informing me that he is the manager, I ask for the store owner because his initial response to the issue was dumbfounding.He informs me that he cannot give me that information which is fine because I already planned on calling corporate. He then refunds me 100.00 for the damage after the back and forth. Upon coming home I have noticed glue on the bottom of my computer and another scratch on the inside. I would not recommend taking any computer in for service just take it to apple

Read moreI had an old Xbox One X console that stopped working after a lighting storm caused a power surge. The Ubreakifix website said “free diagnostics”. So with nothing to lose, I set up an appointment. When I arrived at the store, the associate told me that it sounded like I might need a new power supply, but that I would need to pay $60 for them to open it up and be sure, then the $60 would be applied to the fix (if we chose to go that route). I asked what happened to the “free diagnostics”, and he explained that his opinion that it “might” be the power supply was the free diagnostic. Although I didn’t appreciate this bait and switch, I agreed to drop off the console and pay the $60 because they promised that they could at least retrieve the game that was stuck inside.
Two days later, I received the call back. I was told that they looked inside the console, that is was “unfixable”, and to come pick it up. When I arrived, I asked if they were able to at least retrieve the game, as they had promised. Nope, that would require breaking the disc drive, and they aren’t allowed to do that. So I left with my non-working console and $60 spent.
When I got home, I started to think something was off. A google search later, and I learned that you can retrieve any disc from the console by inserting a paper clip in an ejection port on the side of the console. Worked like a charm. The “experts” at Ubreak didn’t know about this. But here’s where it gets interesting. I found a youtube video detailing how to replace the power supply in an Xbox. Part of the console disassembly involves removing a factory sticker that covers a screw. On my Xbox, this sticker was still intact! So, the liars at Ubreak never did open my console. I immediately canceled my credit card charges. (Ubreak did not bother to respond to the credit car inquiry, so I got my $60 back). Then, I ordered an after-market power supply for $40, and a set of Torx bits for $10, and replaced the thing myself. My “unfixable” Xbox works great now.

Read moreUpdate: Called sterling heights location, they had a piece and reserved it for me right away and got the battery replaced the same day. Got lucky! I should've contacted them in the first place, it was the second closest location to my location. And the troy location was the first closest.
Called in to get my battery replacement appointment. She told me that she would call me on Monday with an update regarding the battery but no call till Tuesday so I called them back. The rep told me that the reserved battery is ready and that there was an appointment fixed for August 1st 2:00 p.m., and I had no idea about it. I told him that and was able to get an appointment for a sooner date, upon arriving, she couldn't find my information with my phone number, gave my phone number twice. She asked for my name, and I have no idea if she found it through my name or not. She asked for my phone number again gave it again and at this time she was able to find my request. Took some time only to come back and tell me that the battery isn't there. I told her about the conversation with a representative and it didn't look like it made any difference to her. She kept saying that she doesn't know about that. Drove 20 minutes (one way) for nothing, took time off from my work because of this. she told me that she would give me a call back once the battery arrives. I asked her to cancel the request. I wish Google had a different way to replace batteries. Will leave a feedback in their website also. But raise a request with different branch, hopefully they know what...
