I have dined at this location many times. Overall my food has been good from a taste perspective. My real frustration comes whenever I order takeout. If I told you how many times my carry out order has been incorrect, you would not believe me.
This location just has a pattern of being inaccurate on takeout. My orders are routinely missing an item or made incorrectly. Just yesterday I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken and Pancakes. My order was missing the Chicken. They literally just put the pancakes in the bag. I have learned to always check my order before walking out of the door now. When I remarked to the carry out team that I was missing the chicken, they smirked and said โoh, we must have just left it in the kitchen.โ Just as casual as ever, went back to the kitchen and returned with it. Glad I checked.
Iโve had the slider dish packed without the fries, dinner salads missing proteins added. A few weeks ago, I ordered the Jambalaya with rice. Not kidding, I made the mistake of not checking the bag before I left, the order was made with just rice, sauce and crawfish. It was missing the shrimp, sausage and chicken. I couldnโt believe it. I ordered about 15 mins before close, so I assume someone in a rush to leave just threw whatever ingredients were in front of them in the dish. Maybe they had a party to get to.
The reason I have kept going back is because I really do like the food and I like Yardhouse. I have brought these issues to the attention of management many times. Normally, they are very apologetic and hand out a gift card or credit that I can use at a future visit. They also usually comp the order. I am grateful for them at least trying to make it right.
But honestly, Iโm writing this review because I am hoping the Yardhouse management or Corporate will fix the issues with carry out. Getting free food is great, but I would rather pay for and get what I ordered instead, and not have to worry about getting home to find items missing from my bag, especially after tipping the carry out staff.
I would suggest a check-off system where someone packs the food and checks off each item ensuring whatโs on the tickets gets into the bagโฆincluding things like salad dressings. Itโs very heartbreaking when I order a dinner size salad with balsamic or another dressing and itโs left out of the bag. Yardhouse should not assume that everyone has spare dressing to use in their refrigerator. Eating a dry salad is no fun.
So I hope you take this review to heart and find a way to fix these recurring issues with the carry...
ย ย ย Read moreI have been to Yard House twice for happy hour so far. I had a good experience both of these times.
My wife was meeting up with her friends at the Shake Shack next door and I popped into Yard House to get a beer.
I don't know too much of the backstory of this place, but basically it's your behemoth, corporate-style bar. Stainless steel everything. Meticulously clean. There was a ridiculous amount of staff teeming through the facility. Basically, an upgraded Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant.
They have a lot of different draft beer choices. There is a whole room full of kegs on display on the second level. The kegs are all connected to the main bar through a series of giant metal tubes that house the beer lines. Kind of interesting.
I really enjoyed the food here. I guess I wasn't expecting much but was impressed. The boneless Buffalo wings were delicious. Chicken breast lightly breaded and dipped in decently hot buffalo sauce. Calamari was good. Cooked to perfection. Lightly battered. Not too heavy on the salt. My favorite item was the poke nachos. Raw tuna, cilantro, thinly sliced fresh jalapenos, and green onions on top of a bed of fried wonton crisps. Delicious. One of the best appetizers I have had in a long time.
For my first visit, I sat at the bar during happy hour. The bar was packed and the bartender could have been more attentive. He would come by every 20 minutes or so. I often had an empty water or beer sitting for a while.
The second visit was with a group of friends and we were seated in a booth. Our server was much more attentive. The food orders came up quickly. A much more enjoyable experience overall.
Yard House has a great happy hour, at least food wise. They have a large selection of their appetizers on the happy hour menu (half off). The beer was a couple bucks off for happy hour, but was still relatively expensive.
I am looking forward to my next happy hour...
ย ย ย Read moreYard House does have plant based options. Those options are easy to view on the kiosk menu on the tables. Most of the time we have to be very specific about any sauces that we may or may not want ( keep that in mind if you don't do milk or eggs). We also make sure we have the server confirm that they have the vegan cheese on hand before we order our vegan nachos (that taste awesome) and we still request no sour cream (get extra quac). If you don't, they don't pay attention, and; it goes right on there. We have had to return ours to be remade a few times but the service made up for it. Servers are all friendly and accommodating. We have never felt like we had to wait long for food to come out either. Hosts are quick! We have never waited long for a table even on really busy nights (we usually go in the evening). Which helps because their waiting area is just too small for such a popular restaurant. They do have two different outdoor seating areas also (the front and side area would be nice to see about reserving for medium parties (8-12 give or take with it still being comfortable is my guess) for celebrations. I can't speak for the day but the restaurant is pretty dim in the evening for that sports bar atmosphere (tvs throughout the restaurant). All the tables and booths are appropriately spaced and the booths are roomy. Bathrooms are always clean and stocked. We don't drink . . . so I'm not sure about the service for the bartenders. Brussel sprouts are slightly chard and a pretty large portion . . . Love them! I also enjoy the Gardein Lemon Pepper "Chicken". Takeout still needs some work. Check your order before you leave the restaurant. Plenty of parking in front and some in back (shared lot with others parking for restaurants nearby) when...
