Alabama Outdoors Trussville — Attraction in Trussville

I was needing some elastic cord to repair a set of folding tent poles for my son's favorite tent. I had visited Academy but they didn't have a clue what I was looking for and seemed confused by my explanation of the purpose of the cord. I then went to the new Alabama Outdoors store off Hwy 11 in Trussville. Christopher (LNU) asked to help me. After explaining the type cord and it's purpose, Christopher immediately knew what I needed. He knew the store had it in inventory but it wasn't on the floor yet. He began looking for it but couldn't readily find the spool. I was short on time, so I left my name and cell number. Before I could leave the lot, Christopher called to tell me he had found the spool. I returned to the store and it was exactly what I was needing. I was very impressed that Christopher never gave up on me. It was a relatively small purchase, but he spent the time needed to meet my purchase need. I'm sure I'll shop at this...

Horrible experience. Bought a pair of Hoka shoes. I decided they were too narrow and returned them the next day. I wore the left shoe in the store for less than a minute. I wore both shoes in my home for less than 5 minutes. The store manager said the shoes show wear and would not do a refund. There was no wear. This store is grossly overpriced. I only bought these she's because they have an MSRP the store has to follow. I try to support local business but it's really difficult when they obviously don't care about the customer....... Great selection, bought $175 pair of the cloud “waterproof” hiking shoes stepped in a small puddle and they leaked right through. They will not accept return because they have been worn.

Update: Would like to commend AO service for stepping up and standing behind this item, they were very helpful to address the issue and provide customer satisfaction. Changed review from two stars to three for their customer service, would go back if looking for outdoor...
