A 28.33 acre natural area park located on the Tualatin River. Brown's Ferry Park was named after Zenas J. Brown who laid a claim to the land in 1850 through the Donation Land Act. He also started the first ferry in the Tualatin vicinity.
The park is a great place to take a quiet walk, enjoy a picnic, or view wildlife in the pond, creek, and Tualatin River. A native grass and wildflower prairie covers about a third of the park.
An extensive pathway system, picnic tables, wildlife viewing blind, river overlook platform and seasonal kayak and canoe rentals are among the facilities available at Brown's Ferry Community Park. There is even an old barn that reminds visitors of the site's former agricultural history.
A canoe ramp and dock allow access to the Tualatin River and interpretive signs in the park offer information about the cultural as well as natural history...

I am super excited to find this place as I was looking for glass hearts #sharethelovetualatin it has a super cool old barn and a couple of walk bridges that are cool. It also has a really nice bathroom that was open in Feb. so that was nice and it was clean. I got a picture of a bunny hopping into the barn & a nutria over by the water. Read moreParking was easy, the park is okay nothing remarkable. We used it for the river access to do some SUPB. People had NO regard to socially distance. NONE so if you're particular try to go during work hours (which we did,) and mask up. (Which we did.) My daughter had to use the restroom. Which is why I had to knock this from a 4 to a 3 star. NASTY y'all. I mean its COVID. Y'all need to keep public PARKS and restrooms AT said parks CLEANED UP. Not okay. Next time I am just going to let my kids pee in our potty IN the car.
