edit: hey, i hope you guys arent falling off, last 2 times ive been here ive had to wait over 20 minutes for a single burger & shake, & the 2 teenagers taking my order had some stank face attitudes like their jobs are too hard or something. its not that hard to fake a smile and wait til the customer leaves to have an attitude, its called growing tf up.
I have high expectations for places that sell food, i mean, im putting that stuff in my body, and im paying for it. Ive never been to a Five Guys but i came here on a reccomendation. I got the bacon burger and fries for about $12, expensive, yeah. i like that they start with just a patty and bun, no prerequisite toppings. I always have to ask 5x for no mayo and fast food places always still put mayo on my shlt anyway. Not here though.
The bacon was crispy, not microwaved. The pickles are nice big chunks, not soggy little chips.
I dont really like they way they handle onions, instead of grilling them as chopped rings, they dice them up and dont really grill them long enough to caramelize the sugars right. The little cubes of onion kept falling out while i was eating.
The fries were pretty close to being cooked too long, but only one of them was too crispy. Could use a little less salt and more seasoning but not bad.
The execution is what stands out though, seems like the cook made half an effort, and the cashier was attentive and i didnt have to repeat myself and double check everything. That sounds like a low bar, and it is, but seems everywhere else has been getting away with selling us less lately.
I like the simple foil wrapper too, keeps it warm longer, unlike the other chains that use paper to save money.
Keep it up you guys, thanks for not ruining my lunch break. (& slice your onions...
Read morePreviously, I gave Five Guy's 5 stars. My family and I come here at least once a month. However, last week I had a bad experience with them. I called in my order and went in to wait for it. I waited for over half an hour watching people come and go. I saw a few sacks of food sitting on top of the fry station, but didn't see the shake that I ordered and they didn't call me up. When I went up to ask when my food would be ready, they said it was in the bags that were sitting there. No one called my name or number! The shift manager, Amanda came up to talk to me and she said there was nothing she could do because they were very busy and understaffed, so not wanting to make a scene in the store, I paid for my food and left. After getting home and discovering my hamburgers were cold, lettuce was soggy, my tomatoes were mush, I decided to call back and talk to the store manager, Brian, who was very apologetic and understood my plight and said he'd love to pay for another meal for me to make it up to me. I said "super how can we make that happen?" he said "I'll put your name in my book that sits on my desk and I'll make sure the staff knows about it so the next time you come in, we'll cover your order". A few days later, my wife said let's just go ahead and get five guys. It was the day after our 31st wedding anniversary and she nor I wanted to cook, so I called and made our order, went down to the store and spoke with Sadin. He said that my name was no where in the book they couldn't find the book and that Brian could not be reached. Sadin rudely thentthen me I would have to pay for the order or they would not give it to me??? So I guess they just let it go to waste!!! If I could give zero Stars I would, lost a loyal customer...
Read moreI delivered for this location quite a bit and thought I would leave a review. Just from an outsider looking in, every time I come here it seems pretty busy and everyone eating seems to be enjoying themselves. Personally/financially I have never technically EATEN here just because I am on a fixed income so I couldn't give you a 100% honest review as to how the food is as a whole, but seeing how busy they always are is probably the answer to that. What I can say is that the staff/employees and manager here are nice, hard working people that do their best even when times get rough. I have came to pick up orders when it is slow and also when they are packed and this location holds it together even when they are hiring and in need of help they stay on top of their game. I have sat and waited for orders for delivery and I observed how good they work even when they have short staff and people yelling and complaining (other delivery drivers) that their order isn't ready. I just sat and waited and several times the manager or the employees had noticed me sitting quiet and patient and realized the fact I was working as well and they have given me fries when I look hungry, drinks when I look thirsty, and even shakes here and there when I just look like I need a treat đ So as for the staff I can say they are great people that work hard and deal with a LOT everyday and still they come to work and spread love and...
