5.11 — Local services in Tualatin

Poor customer service!! Zero stars Dominick is the worst at customer service he needs a class on how to manage a store and give excellent customer service as he said he was the manager. I asked to talk with another manager and he would not let me talk to anyone else as he said the other manager is off and could not be contacted but he called to ask her questions and suddenly she couldn't be contacted,??My husband and I shop here and spend lots of money. I have never had such a horrible experience!! When we called we asked of it had to have a tag on it. They said come on down. My husband jacket is defective. My sweater was sold to me defective. This guy didn't even Look up our receipt!! My item was purchased in New Mexico. My husband was purchased here Saturday. My sweater had a stain and was never warn ⚠️ I just wanted to exchange mine! This place use to be my favorite place and we have been here enough for the lady we seen Saturday to know who we are. This Dominick is horrible I definitely don't recommend going here if this is how they treat their customers. We live in New Mexico now and New Mexico definitely knows how to provide excellent customer service. We are on a vacation he made our experience horrible. Hoped for more, got less. Was checking out stores in the area for boots, and having been a short drive in california from the main 5.11 production facility and stores I assumed that it'd be of reasonable size and have a good stocking of items. Stock was okay, nothing of the larger sizes in anything reasonable. If you wear anything beyond a 12M just don't bother..they don't carry it and will tell you to just go order it from the website. Doesn't help much when you want to try it on to see if you even like it before investing $200+ in a pair of duty boots. A bit of chaos in the back area with lots of random items that aren't price tagged, so if you're curious you'll need to bring it to the front register or ask and they'll tell you "about what it should be" instead of just spot checking it on the register. Not impressed at all with the minimal service received. Employee was behaving in a very vapid manor, focusing on their phone far more than any of the customers and didn't appear to want to work. I found two pairs of boots in the back and asked for the price on them and got "they should be about $150" with a very questioning tone, and when I asked if the website would serve better price checking she replied "probably because those aren't normally here" and went back to her phone. Needless to say we did not and will not be making any purchases at...

Five stars because the store and staff are wonderful, and as combat boots, these are fantastic. I got the ATAC 8" Desert.

I always thought 5.11 was a brand for fat bearded incels who thought owning guns and body armor made them Special Operators. But these boots are great.

They are supportive, but lightweight and breathable with good mobility. Perfect for all the military stuff like rucking, running, smashing obstacle courses, and breaching doors in the Middle East to pump that home's unfortunate inhabitants full of lead and freedom.

I did buy these as a motorcycle boot, because I like mobility and comfort. I feel I can comfortably run from the police on foot and confidently jump over fences. I can shift and pivot easily in these, in case I ever need to fight a bum. Which has actually happened to me before.

That said, after 5 decently lengthy rides, the leather and sole are starting to separate where I use the top-right part of the toe to upshift. Not a dig on the boot, because that's not what these are made for.
