Ran in on my way to work to get a steak breakfast sandwich to go. When I got back to my office and opened it up there was no steak on it, which is a pretty big miss considering it's the main ingredient of this sandwich. Called the location to get a refund but they refused to refund me over the phone and said I had to come back to the store. I dont have time to drive 15min back to the location and they didnt offer anything to make the mistake right. Not going to lie, I was pretty irritated at this point because they wouldn't simply give me my money back (not irate or cussing or anything but irritated for sure since this was my breakfast before a very long work day) and told them that if I had to drive back to the store I would expect a refund and the sandwich to be remade correctly. She said they don't normally do that (they should) but would make an exception but that if I had an attitude when I showed up that they would REFUSE TO SERVE ME. This actually did piss me off and I asked what their name was, they refused to tell me so I asked to speak with a manager and she said she was the manager. Seems like a joke of a manager to me and an overall ridiculous experience from the customer service side and this is coming from someone with over 22 years of customer service experience. Its very unfortunate because I tipped them as I always do and I have been going to Panera 1-3 times a month for over 14 years but at this point will never return based on this single experience, which to some might sound ridiculous, but it highlights their commitment to the customer and there are plenty of places with better food and better customer service who would apparently appreciate my business more. (Sandwich was picked up at 10:04am on 8/4/25 from the Tualatin Location - Order...
Read moreI am currently and recently experiencing a dental emergency however have to still work to earn the funds to pay for a dental appointment and treatment . I can't chew and needed to get some soup while on a break from work. . I went into Panera because not many places offer soup. I asked if I could have a softer pastry rather then apple , Chips or baguette because those items are to hard to chew considering my dental emergency and not having the ability to chew due to severe pain. I communicated with the employee regarding my dental emergency and not being able to chew due to severe pain. The employee stated No that I could not substitute the hard apple chips or hard baguette for a softer pastry . I don't want the chips apple and baguettes because they were to hard so the restaurant keep the side and would not allow me to substitute in any of their offerings for a softer pastry or dish. . The restaurant gave me the very small bowl of soup with dried food debris all over it. It was so gross. I had to go back and ask for a sanitary bowl for the very small bowl of soup. The dried food debris must have been on the bowl for a long time because it appeared crusty. Very disatified with this restaurant. The very small bowl of soup with no side was approx 10 dollars and the restaurant would not allow an exception of substitute considering my dental emergency and tooth pain. They kept the side and charged me the same price of approx 10 dollars for a very small bowl of soup with no side . I am...
Read moreHey, so I gotta share this not-so-chill experience I witnessed at Panera. Was with my friend, looking forward to grabbing a bite and catching up, but man, things took a turn.
Everything started off cool, I was checking out the menu, deciding what to get, you know, the usual drill. But then, when my friend asked the manager a simple question about one of the policies because her order was wrong, the vibe totally shifted. The manager straight-up gave her attitude, like she was bothering him or something. It was not cool to see my buddy getting treated like that.
And it didn't stop there. when my friend finished asking, the manager just called her ridiculous and brushed her off like it was nothing. Like, come on, show some basic customer service man. It felt like they couldn't care less about making things right or even just being a decent human being.
Honestly, it kinda killed the vibe for me. I'm all about supporting places like this and giving them a chance, but when you see your friend getting mistreated like that, it's hard to let it slide. especially to her mom too??? jesus christ. Panera might have some decent food (a little spendy), but until they sort out their manager (his name is Mark T by the way) situation and start treating people nicely, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Nice knowing...
