Mary Jane's House of Glass — Attraction in Tualatin

I didn't actually visit this location. I ordered from them online which was very convenient since it gave me time to get more info on each product. It was safe and private from other customers. Sometimes, I hesitate buying things I know very little about, without 1st inquiring about the product and it's uses, what to expect and how to use properly. Their website was very informative and easy to use. Now that I know a little more about them, I feel very confident in venturing out to this location very soon. I received the product as expected. The only thing I didn't love was being charged to get my signature for the pkg. My mail carrier came to my door and I signed. Then I realized I was charged $10.00 for my signature by this company. I can appreciate needing to verify I am of the age required by law. Thank you. But that info was not disclosed in advance of my purchase.This made shipping way more expensive for a "local" company. So that should definitely be properly disclosed before final purchase. I tried said products and thoroughly enjoyed them. If only I could openly recommend... but I think not. My first time at this location but I go to two in Portland regularly. I have always been treated well in the past, the shop people are always helpful but laid back. To my surprise my experience at this location was pretty poor. The young blonde lady behind the counter ignored my polite "hello, how are you doing today?" even though we made eye contact when I walked in. She didn't respond for a few moments but then told me "we are doing shift change you're going to have to wait." It came off as very dismissive but I just chalked it up to her being busy. She then continued to stare at me which was odd considering she had just told me they were doing shift change. From then forward she was very short with and rude with me. The rest of our interaction was impatient questioning and clipped short responses from her. The whole conversation was very uncomfortable and I got out as fast as I can. I don't really write reviews but considering how I was treated I felt compelled to. If I wasn't treated so well at the other locations I would have never come back to any of their shops. I certainly won't be coming back to this...

Usually super friendly service but the last few times out of stock on items needed and the gal working basically cleaned and ignored all the customers in the store rather than help her customers on the floor she was cleaning. That was an hour before closing and 8 people walking around waiting on her to stop and help them. She is normally not like that but the last few times she has been unfriendly and felt like she just wanted us to leave. She had 3 sets of customers she basically ignored at the counters sweeping and mopping while abouy 8 people waited for her to patiently help them. When someone asked for her help finally she stomped super irritated about it ans other customers felt uncomfortable also. Maybe we should of spoken up but we sat at the cash register for over 20 mins as did the othet customers and she made us feel extremely uncomfortable this time to only find they are out of stock again... my daughter and I were treated so nicely by her before but maybe having a bad day the...
