Borderlands Trading Company — Attraction in Tucson

(3/2025) Didn't get a good vibe this last time. Felt unwelcome. That's ok. I think I need to move on and start saving instead. Update: ( 1/14/25 ) I have been back here since my last review and have added 2 stars for many reasons. I garden and love decorative pottery. They offer the most colorful and durable hand-made pottery for my yard and I think my many collectable cacti would agree. Of course, Marty is awesome and very helpful. I did purchase a hand carved $200 table, which my family loves, and an assortment of decor which fits well in my southwestern style home. They offer hand painted number tiles for homes too. I am very greatful for the help I recieved today and thankful the owners offer the most beautiful home decor from wonderful Mexico.

I was looking for two chaires. The most affordable chair I could find was $175. Marty explained Each item is hand made and that it's more affordable in-store than ordering from the website because of delivery. A small accent table was $350. A cow skin footstool on sale was $125. All beautiful but a bit pricey. The decorative items are easily more affordable. I highly recommend the spanish tiles and the Mata Ortiz pottery. They also have metal lamp shades, maracas, and religious decor. Selection is limited but you find a unique colorful decor...

I am really surprised by the reviews that stated nobody greeted them in the store. Initially we stopped by on a Sunday just to look around. We were greeted right away by Barb even though she was helping another customer at the time. She went out of her way to explain the differences between the one of a kind "buy it now" furniture and ordering. She also provided us with the names of 2 moving companies who can deliver the furniture to our home. We came back 2 weeks later to order and purchase some in stock pieces. Again we worked with Barb and she was fantastic. We had nothing short of a 5 star experience here and will be purchasing more from them...

We went there on the intent to purchase 6 dining room chairs. We also saw other things that we wanted to buy. However, good luck in getting ANY customer service. There was a blonde woman who was helping another couple. Then there was a brunette woman who saw me 3 times throughout the store. Not once did either one of the ladies asked if we needed assistance or said "Hi" to us. Well, I guess they did not want money that badly. We decided to go to Furniture in the Raw. We even put back an item we intended...
