Please be careful, I highly recommend you DO NOT take your jewellery of any kind unless you want your fine quality jewelry to depreciate in value, here's why. I brought my 24k bullion of fine gold just for a simple appraisal. At first one of the employees was skeptical about its authenticity because he said hes never seen one with the markings on the bullion it had. He was testing it on the electrical testing machine then said it was not testing for 24k that it was only testing for 18k,even though it has markings on both the frame which is stamped 750(18k) and the bullion stamped 999.9 24k. He then wanted a second opinion from the other employee which right away puts it in his hand and feels it kinda bouncing it on the palm of his hand and replies this doesn't feel right and I think the weight is off. The two employees started leaning more towards that it might be plated. He then said that he was going to have to take it out of the 18k gold frame to test it by doing the scratch test method, I replied "just be careful please but I'm sure you know what you're doing, I'm sure it won't be notice since it has been tested 2x before using the same method in other jewellery shops so I'm sure everything will be fine" since I figured this guy knew what he was doing, he uses small filler which kinda worried me but figured I'm sure it's his way of testing the gold so I didn't say anything. Once he is done the tests confirms it to be 24k. After confirming that IT WAS authentic they gave me a low offer on it, which I refused, so then he hands it back to me outside its frame which i replied if he can please put it back how it was because i dont have the tools to do so myself. So then he rushes putting it back in which I dont know if he was annoyed but he hands it to me then I went on my way. Only to find this surpise later at home when I took a closer look, framed is gapped and clamps are crooked and one left up with scratch that is noticeable and the last is the big chunk of a gap on the lip that made me question his experience in his profession because this is just...
Ā Ā Ā Read more(4/25/2025 11:30am) Today I was offered -$2 below spot price for 999 bullion coin and bars and a little less for 90% silver. ( Please note, I chose to sell silver to them and I was required I give a fingerprint, provide a current driver's license, and phone number. I don't have a problem with that but just a heads up for folks to arrive prepared.)
The man who delt with me directly said his name was "Jack". He was very professional. They have a numismatist, a guy with long grey hair (can't remember his name) who priced my 90% separately from "Jack". Honestly, I felt like I was in a museum because it was super quiet and everyone whispered. Very clean and orderly displays. My only issues are the employee(s) didn't tell me their name over the phone or introduce themselves in person. I had to ask and that didn't seem thorough to this stores appearance. I didn't see anyone wearing name tags in the shop either, nor did they have business cards with their name on them. Just feedback that might be helpful in the future. Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently was in need of purging a bag of random gold/silver items along with having two vintage/family rings sized. I popped in on a Saturday morning and must say the customer service here was wonderful - the initial visit and the follow up visit. The gentleman who helped me took careful time looking at my items, and align on what is next. I was pleasantly surprised to get a nice chunk of change for my random gold/silver and felt solid leaving two invaluable rings in their care. It took two weeks to get the rings back which really is record time for quality repair.
When I picked up the rings, I was perusing their jewelry cases and must say I may not ever go to a retail jeweler again after looking at some of their beautiful items! They have everything - jewelry, watches, coins, etc. I was laser focused on the diamond case where they had some gorgeous rings...
